| Quote Cibaman="Cibaman"Is it right that the Kop started singing the Luis Suarez song during the incident, or just coincidence?'"
It's a fact (plenty of Youtube clips available) they were singing the Suarez song immediately before and during the incident, but that won't stop the s like Asim from digging another knife in and try to make the incident worse before checking his facts out.

| Quote Mark="Mark"It won't. They tend to be cowards in the ground. As you walk past the away end outside you can here the rat munching s singing munich songs on the concourse, they usually have blow up aeroplanes as well. Don't tend to sing much at all when they get in the stadium. Get the odd knob doing plane impressions but that's about it. United have already started singing "Racist b+stard" to the same tune of the Suarez song. Will ve lively that's for sure, segregation is generally quite good at OT.'"
Some of our fans are s, there's no doubt about that, but there's s at United, as there is at every club. It's swings and roundabouts mate, some of your lot sing about Hillsborough, some of our lot sing about Munich. I've been to enough Liverpool v United games to know that.
And before you come out with insults and the "United fans are saints" attitude; what's that racist song United fans sing, the one that goes "rather be a something than a scouser".
Bottom line is, all clubs have a minority of idiots and IF when the facts/evidence come out these 1 or 2 fans should be banned for line.

| Anyone know if the UK hypocrisy meter exploded when the Oldham fans started singing "You're just a town full of racists"?

| Joe Cole's hat-trick against Chantilly in the Coupe de France is the first of his career. Cracking little player that lad.

A minority of Man United fans chant about Hillsborough and a minority of Liverpool fans sing about Munich.

I wasn't questioning the Hillsborough chants, questioning the racist ones. How many United v Liverpool games have you attended?

In fairness, it was a very popular song at United in the early to mid 80's. However to suggest it's a song that United fans sing is somewhat akin to saying that Liverpool fans sing "We all agree, Phil Neal is better than n*****s" merely because that is what they used to sing when Viv Anderson usurped him to the England number 2 shirt.
Thankfully attitudes have changed since those days & what was considered acceptable enough for thousands of people to chant is now considered abhorrent by the majority mercifully. However, racist idiots still exist in all walks of life & sadly it's inevitable that if you get 40,000 people together for a football match, a number of them will still be "knuckle-dragging Neanderthals" as WF put it so well. Such a shame that a handful of them chose to display those attitudes on Friday night.
However, hopefully the Liverpool club will at some stage be able to examine its actions & in the cold light of day consider seriously whether the intellectually-challenged amongst its support would misinterpret the inflammatory statements & blind support of a player who admitted to using a racially-offensive term (regardless of whether it was once, seven or ten times) to think that maybe now they could feel confident in expressing such vile abuse without condemnation.

Spot on. The song may have been sang(80's) it's not sung now though as he put it. It's the old Liverpool trait of not looking at what they do wrong, instead trying to pass the blame to somebody else with a "well they do it as well" attitude, rather than address the situation in front of them.

| Quote Roddy B="Roddy B"This has absolutely nothing to do with Suarez. The only way Suarez is involved in this is because there was a song that fans chanted that included his name. It's nothing to do with the case, or whatever, yet you still persistently thrust your opinion out there as though people take notice. You're an emotional ar*ehole who goes on bitter tirade after tirade, everything you write is exaggerated nonsense with the aim of provoking. Not only are you clueless and ignorant, but you go looking for arguments with people when the situation doesn't even warrant it.
Our fans don't have to accept anything, why should they? Because you said so? Because the posters on RLFans said so? Because Oliver Holt said so? Where would we be as human beings right now if we all just lay down and accepted what came at us? To be defiant is a human trait, whether you agree with it or not is debatable, but to tell people to accept something when their opinion is the polar opposite of what they're being asked to accept is the epitome of arrogance. The entirety of the case is completely opinion based, even the facts are open to interpretation, so why you seem to think your opinion matters above all is absolutely astounding.'"

Classy. LFC and their followers summed up perfectly in this post.
