Do I really need to tell you? Fine, first I'll just shift that rock you're living under.
Massive transfer fees, paying some players £200k a week, sometimes more, prices for fans, footballers basically becoming mercenaries. Really, for what is paraded as a working class game, can you really relate to any of the City players? Really? Only people who get paid more for doing less are bankers.
On the flip side, thats the way it is and I'd happily say fair play to City. No rules have been broken, no shady play involved, they've just used their (albeit vast) resources well.

| Not usually into watching football. Don't tend to enjoy it but the QPR game was a corker, Old school as Redknapp called it. Typical dirty play from Chelsea and didn't get their own way with the ref. What I like to see.

Can Joe Average relate to any Premiership footballer?

Yeah I used to be able to, I mean before City came along, there used to be this peasant called Ronaldo playing for United. Gawd he was straight out of the mines that boy, he played football for free just because he loved the game.

| I'm kinda bored with the whole thing but i can't sit by while some people just gloss over why people have problems with what Chelsea and City have done. Granted Man Utd have benefited from Sky, as have Arsenal etc, but Utd's first title of the 90's in 92/93 was largely built around the team that came a close second in 91/92, the platform was already there for Utd to dominate, and they built on their initial EARNED success because of the PL and increased exposure around the world. City and Chelsea were just handed billions and became a success in a matter of 2/3 years.

| I went today. Sat in the United corporate end as we won tickets- god I feel for United fans, so many of my own friends who have had to give up their season tickets due to the prices, and then morons with no idea about football can afford it. Other than a bloke throwing his programme at my dad's head because he didn't cheer when United score, and the clueless idiots we were sat next demanding that United clear the ball when it wasn't even in their half, a good day out.
But certainly a lesson that United don't look as invincible as the more unrealistic/clueless United fans would have you believe. A great deal of magnanimity from the United fans I know.

| I said last summer that Silva would be the league's best player. I love being right. What I hate is I think every year that I've been on here I pleaded with Liverpool to sign him, yet we ended up with Benayoun! Loved him since I first saw him playing for Celta, such a shame he's playing for City.

I like this post. I'm a Utd fan, and as many of my work mates and mates would tell you, i'm not biased nor do i have rose-tinted specs. I call a spade a spade, i call things as i see them. Unfortunately it's something of a problem that the majority ruin it for the few

| What a shame that football clubs don't know their rightful place.
For me, as the first champions, Preston North End are the only club with any right to have that title and be successful - any other club's achievements are tainted by whatever methods they used to usurp them and are therefore meaningless.

I think most Utd fans have been expecting this. Scholes retiring, Giggs' influence further waning, allied to a lack of investment in central midfield (Sneijder, in my humble was a must) gave an element of inevitability, that in the bigger games it would be midfield where the battle would be won/lost. Walloping Arsenal deflected the situation that was looming, but the result against Basel put the reality back into perspective.
There is a lot of hope for Cleverley and Pogba in the future, but without an experienced creative/controlling player, it will be difficult to be as dominant as in the recent past.
