Don't speak too soon. Celtic could may well come back into it after FC Sion have apparantley fielded a couple of 'ineligible players'.

Don't UEFA rules mean someone from the same football federation has to be chosen instead? Or Liverpool if they weren't involved one year.

| Quote Roddy B="Roddy B"I think it's far too early to be claiming Mancini as a tactical maestro. The season's very early and nothing meaningful has been played yet. Yes, City have started out well, but so did Chelsea last year and they soon went off the boil. The signs look good for City, but we'll see how strong they are once they have to start balancing the ship between the league and Europe. They have a squad strong enough to go far in Europe and win the league, question is, do they have a manager good enough to do that, as he certainly couldn't do it with Inter, which is the only yardstick we can measure him by at the moment. I personally think City will fall just short of winning the league and will reach the CL quarters. Winning the CL is generally something you build to and achieve over the course of say 2/3 years of sustained improvement, I'd be very surprised if City got to the semi's in their first year.'"
I am not basing my opinion on this season as the first two games mean very little.
Regarding Inter and the CL, he simply didn'yt have the team. Mourihno won the CL with Inter but that was with a lot of investment added to Mancini's team.

| Big weekend of premiership football. Looking forward to Liverpool v Bolton tonight, goot a feeling there will be goals in it. Been given our yearly message from the club r.e Wenger chants.
The Fans’ Forum, Sir Alex Ferguson and the Club, urge all fans at Sunday’s game to get behind the team and not to chant crude personal abuse at the officials of Arsenal Football Club.
The football world will be watching the match on Sunday and we all want to promote the image of Manchester United fans as the best in the game. None of us want to be associated with that sort of abuse and those who ignore this may be subject to sanction by the Club.
As Sir Alex says, “Let’s do our rivalry firstly out on the pitch through our players and then off the field with massive support for our team.”
Thanks

He had a side that was entirely dominant of Serie A, he maybe didn't have the team to win it, but his side always looked average in Europe. Liverpool beat them without getting out of third gear, if you look at some of the sides he went out to during his time as Inter manager, he evidently underachieved with a side that was still one of Europe's strongest. Mourinho's investment obviously made them better, but Mancini still underachieved with Inter in Europe.
