| Torres is just trying to find his market value. If Liverpool agree a fee with Chelsea expect Torres to be unable to agree personal terms, then Barcelona will agree the same fee for him in the summer.

Hmmmm.
Where doth the money cometh from? Woy was always told to scrape around in the bargain basement bins to find his players, yet they are handing out £23m ish now? That figure will be more like £30m once you throw in agents, signing on fees, medicals, legal fees, solicitors, bribes, consultancy, commission to Comolli etc.
Big money. One wonders...

I am going tomorrow but by the looks of it there won't be too many following me. I've already bought my ticket to go to Arsenal on Tuesday too.
For me there's three obvious positions we need filling right midfield (can't just rely on Coleman), left midfield now Pienaar's gone and a striker. Left side I'd love us to pinch Kranjcar, he's available and probably fairly cheap I was hoping Moyes would do a deal when the Pienaar transfer was going through. As for a striker, like Saddened, pretty much anyone we can get out hands on. So many strikers have moved in this transfer window and yet no doubt Moyes will say on Tuesday we tried but no one was available. We only need a body for 6 months, someone that can stay injury free and score some goals but I've resigned myself to the fact we won't sign anyone. You fancy relying on Saha and Beckford until May? I don't, really don't.
Makes me question Moyes' reasoning evenmore for letting Yakubu, Pienaar and Vaughan go if we aren't bringing anyone in.

Have I missed something? I know the yanks are funding it, just wondering why they wouldn't let Hodgson sign anyone?

Moyes is on Sky saying Everton won't be signing anybody.....I also expect Neville to complete his move to Spurs, so I reckon being an Everton fan is going to become more and more tortuous.....

Why do you expect Neville to go? He's our captain and if Moyes is saying no signings, why sell Neville? Whats the point? Spurs won't pay more than £2m for him given his age so I can't see the reasoning behind it.
I expect Moyes to quit soon or at the end of the season, unless it's his idea to not sign anyone, he always did have a reputation as a ditherer.
