I felt sorry for Hargreaves on Saturday, a mistake from Fergie to chuck him in at the beginning in a weakened side. At least it's "only" his hamstring and not his knee, so he has a chance to recover. He was a great player a few years ago, and is one of the missing links in our midfield, however, injuries have probably ended his time at United, if not his career.

At this moment in time it's difficult to tell whether or not his career has finished. Players who are making their way back from long-term injuries, tend to pick up strains and pulls. I would give it a bit more time.
If his career is about to come to an end it will be a real shame. I am glad to say that this was the view of the majority of posters on a City forum when this issue was discussed recently.
One of the problems with Hargreaves is that he is the kind of player that needs to be 100% fit as his speed and his ability to get cover the park are his strengths.
From a 'neutral' (hahaha) perspective, I too think he is the kind of player you are missing in your midfield.
Don't worry, you won't need any pace in your midfield tomorrow as we allow teams on to us! Ferguson has wrapped Scholes in cotton wool knowing that we will sit back and let him fire 40-yard passes to Nani.
