| Busquets over reacted but you cannot hold players off in the face. Motta is a idiot and i'm surprised he gets anywhere near that Inter team because he is Poor. I'd rather have Muntari.
Motta is usually the one that rolls around on the floor so i have no sympathy.
Inter deserved that win they worked so hard. Diego Millito turned him blood to water.

| Quote Robbie Rotten="Robbie Rotten"I've not seen a replay so I'll happily be corrected when I see it again on ITV shortly. From what I remember, I thought Toure's hand was by his side, not raised and not moving towards the ball (I'm probably wrong there), add in the ball being so close to him, I found it hard to see what more he could have done to avoid it being a handball, regardless of advantage gained. Again, I'm unsure of the hand position so I'll probably take this back in five mins if it was raised.'"
I've deleted the game from my DVR so can't go back and check it, but from my memory both of Toure's arms were in front of his body, the ball hit his arms and bounced luckily for Barca.
The rules say that handball has to be deliberate, but IMO that's not how the game is reffed, and not how it should be. It was the right call for me.
There was an example of Mark Hughes scoring for Man United against us when he accidentally hit the ball with his hands and then scored. He attempted to trap the ball but messed it up totally, the ball bounced up, hit his arms, fell perfectly for him and he scored with the shot. The ref allowed play on because he didn't deliberately play the ball with his arms, but like today if you take away the balls contact with the arms then the ball is 20m away.

| Just seen the replay, the hand had no influence in that play IMO. His arm was flat across his stomach, if his arm wasn't there, the ball would have done the same thing, I really don't see what more Toure could have done.
I'm not certain on the handball rule, as every handball isn't given, regardless of advantage. If it hits the arm, no matter where the arm is, no matter the distance of the ball, is it still a handball? Toure's arm was flat across his stomach, the ball would have hit his stomach anyway whilst he done what most players do when avoiding handball, kept his arms down and flat to the body.

| Quote Lord God Jose Mourinho="Lord God Jose Mourinho"Really impressed by the patience of both the Barca supporters and the players. They knew they had 90 minutes to get the 2 goals and kept their same attacking plays when most sides (and especially the supporters) would have been thrown all the plans out of the window and just thrown everything chasing the game.
Jose Mourinho - best manager in the world. Will go down in history as one of the best of all time IMO. Roman, I appreciate everything you've done for us, but you're a ******* idiot for not tying him to Chelsea for life.
Thought the sending off was a joke. But not surprised when it's Barca in the semi-final. Don't blame the Barca player for going down like he did, because I'm 1000% certain an Inter player would've done the same thing, but the referee was a **** for buying it. Should have booked the Barca player for his play acting.'"

Top player wastes time when trying to get the win shocker.
He puts himself in front of everything.
Great finish by Pique, he should spend the pre-season teaching Ibrahimovic how to attack.
$$ + Eto'o for Ibrahimovic.
I want Inter's negotiator.

Don't think it is in Jose's make up to stay anywhere for life no matter what Mr Abramovich was offering He always said he wanted to coach in different countries and he will also go to Spain at some point too.

As was stated in commentary, the rules state if a hand is raised to an opponent and contacts above the neck then it is a red card, below the neck is a yellow card. Now I realise the contact was not severe and sergio made the most of it and more but Motta had already been booked and either way he was getting sent off for his offence. Rules is rules

On the previous issue the ref made his decision to the letter of the law, on this one he did not. As you say, a hand ball must be construed as being deliberate to be a free kick. This occasion was an absolute, stone wall ball to hand and in no way a free kick. Toure was 2 yards away maximum, short of cutting his arms off, he is in a no win situation if the ball were to strike him, which it did.

| Barca must regret not signing Villa over Ibra. I'm not sure why they pulled the plug on the Villa deal, but it was blatantly obvious that Ibra wasn't the type of player they needed, regardless of Ibra being a top player.
I felt their only weakness was a lack of height going forward, no 'plan B' if they resort to crossing the ball into the box like they did tonight. Ibra can bring that, but even then, he isn't that type of player. They'd have been better off keeping Eto'o or signing Villa, then signing another striker as back up to bring the aerial prowess, maybe Llorente or somebody of similar stature. Obviously, hindsight is a wonderful thing and I'm sure Barca were expecting Ibra to slot in, but it's clear their football has been trained to play a certain way, Ibra doesn't fit that style. He doesn't run channels (at least effectively), he isn't that quick over short distances, he lacks mobility/agility, he doesn't work hard enough, he doesn't use his physique to his advantage and he probably has 'too much' ability for what they needed. They didn't need somebody dropping deep, somebody pulling out wide, they needed a '9', a finisher, a lethal threat, basically Eto'o or Villa. I've said all this before, but you must question Pep or whoever decided Ibra to be their man.
