| Quote faxtastic="faxtastic"congrats to Prescot the unbeaten run is over the game was boring dont think either side played as well as they could, the conditions didnt really play for good attracive football and the pitch was a bit of a mess but am not making excuses there just the facts.
the time waisting by the Prescot goalkeeper was bordering on ridiculous.
but we played reallly bad today. congrats to Prescot today.
back to destroying AFC Flyde at the shay on tuesday night.'"
I was going to reply last night, but I had a few too many celebratory drinks so thought i'd do it now.
I can't believe we won, you were the form team in the league and we got bet by Warrington, it was like David v Goliath, nice goal by Dale Wright but not sure if he meant it or not.
Andy Paxton may have been time wasting in net but all goalies do it, the chap in goal for Warrington ed us off last week for his constant time wasting as much as Paxton probably ed you lot off yesterday, saying that the pitch was in poor state, it's been raining all week in Prescot and the pitch was only just playable on Tuesday so to have 2 games in 5 days is a credit to the hard work the club put in, I believe that on a decent pitch in decent conditions the scoreline would have been alot different.
I would really like to thank all 400+ for making the journey to see us, what did you think of our ground, it's just a standard ground in the league, not one of the better and not one of the worst (harrogate), never seen the clubhouse, refreshments and the ground in general that busy, disappointed more programmes weren't produced, as we anticipated the extra fans turning up, at the end some fax fan offered me £5 for mine, which I rejected, I take it you get this problem alot, no programmes, long queues, no pies left etc.
Good luck against Fylde on Tuesday and hope to see you at the Shay in February.
p.s apologies for the bugler, one day he will learn a tune.

haha. well i have to aplogisine for last nights remarks by me, i was a little bit annoyed because not to be disrespectful i really didnt expect to lose that one. i know that the rain affected the pitch and i know that it was the same for both sides.
your ground actually i was pleasently suprised actually by your ground it was a ctually quite good one of the best maybe alongside Lancaster in that respect, and a lot better than Mossley, Harrogate atc.
yeah we had it at Harrogate on the first time we went there last season they announced things over the tannoy throuout the game, there are now no pies left, there is now no hot food left at all, was funny as cause we took 500 or so to Harrogate new years day last season and they didnt expect it, happens at a lot of grounds although you have an excuse of notr playing us before so your catering people wouldnt have known how much you could bring.
yeah i suppose everyone timewaistes, he was doing his celebrating infront of the town fans when you scored but am over that now.
i just never realised what a scalp we were at this level, am quite proud actually that a victory againt us brings the celebratery scenes there were from your players at the end, i didnt know what a win against us menat, i suppose you were the first team to do it in the league this season. so quite proud that were such a big scalp for teams.
apologies anyway was just a bit annoyed cause b4 yesterday we had won 9 from 10 in the league and drawn the other and were still 8 points off top now were 11 points off top 5 games in hand still but we have to win all them now to get back up there.
yeah cheers am sure the players will be looking to inflict a battering on AFC Flyde on tuesday wouldnt want to be them if we turn up and play like we have done most of the season they could be in trouble if we play the best we can,
you look a decent side though with a decent enough stadium especially at this level you should make the play offs.
yeah see you down the shay, you might be one of the very first set of fans to be able to see the new stand open and in use,

| FC won the Trophy replay with Lancaster 10 AET but lost 1-0 at home to Buxton in the League yesterday. Dull as dishwater, both of them.

I hope so. The Poppies were done last year when they were overlooked for their home game v Fulham so hopefully they will get their moment in the spotlight this time.
Personally, I would rather they concentrated on promotion but these type of games are what the players wish to be involved in so hopefully it will not affect their league performances too much.
Brilliant draw though. May well be worth the 780 mile round trip methinks. I was there when the prolific Ashikodi made (and scored on) his debut so it would be nice to see him do it again.

But they were on v Notts County in an earlier round.
BTW have you not got it the wrong way round I thought it was the Scots who moved to Kettering/Corby

| Quote Shoot You Down="Shoot You Down"Oh dear! Guess they had an off day against us, or maybe we just intimidated them

Did you find the ground alright and parking e.t.c for your mass numbers? It isn't the most practical is it?
The ground itself is tidy though.
Radcliffe 0- 2 Warrington, 4th win and 4th away on the trot, we are really finding form, and are shooting up the league - 8th with a few games in hand.
The true test is on Tuesday though against Vaxuhall Motors in the Cheshire Senior Cup - they are 2 divisions above us.'"
yeah ground was tidy enough, the pitch wasnt that good but suppose its the same for both teams.
are you now above Halifax now then, we will probs have more games in hand on you as well as everyone else, am sure we have played less games than anyone else.
well the parking well you couldnt had to park a bit away cause the road i went down to the ground was residential parking only.
we havent dropped a point in the league at home this season, no disrespect to AFC Flyde but i will be expecting a win.

My family did indeed move to Corby in the 70's as my dad went to work in the steel industry and play for Corby Town (amongst others in the area).
I was born in Kettering but we emigrated to Scotland in 1980.

A bit irrelevant that though. The game v Fulham was the kind of tie that the FA Cup is all about and the 2-4 scoreline that resulted from the game (courtesy of two late Fulham goals) suggested that the game would have been a feast for the tv and the viewers.
There was very nearly a giant killing in the game and with the stature of the FA Cup diminishing year on year, the need for a major giant-killing is needed more and more.
It also gave the chance to show that there is life outside the Premier League too.
Sadly, Man U v Spurs was one of the games chosen IIRC, giving us another all Prem tie that is hardly gonna raise too many eyebrows.

Ok I admit you should have been on if that was an alternative (could not remember what games were shown in that round).
