| Mad stat. Over the whole course of English football league history Man United have never been ahead of LFC in total titles won but have equalled them many times. Whatever number of titles LFC were able to win before a United title win, United always won the same enabling them to equal the record, never more never less.

| Quote Wayne Rooney="Wayne Rooney"On a serious note I'd like to hear the views of Liverpool fans r.e Alonso, it seems he's always linked with a move away from Anfield whcih is something I find hard to understand as he has forged a wonderful partnership with zippy, with all our midfielders being happy who could you realistically get to replace him?'"
His agent and Rafa has said he's not going. I prefer to deal with the facts

| Quote Ski="Ski"Liverpool FC have re-arranged their end of season dinner at short notice, its being held tomorrow night. Menu as follows;
starter - sour grapes.
main meal - plaice (might be 3rd)
pudding - selections from pennant, lucas and arbeloa followed by hard cheese and biscuits.
Drinks will be available but there will be no doubles, trebles or carling prem. There will also be a selection of wines served by a fat spanish waiter.'"

| Quote ash4hullfc="ash4hullfc"What does that have to do with Jamie Carragher?
It was so obvious you wouldn't reply to what I actually wrote because, to be quite honest, you don't have a clue what to say.
Sinking to your level, did you enjoy your two cup final victories this season? Even your fellow supporters think you're a joke.'"
ok then kreskin lets point out the obvious shall we!
you support a joke of a team who contain arguably the biggest tool and thug in professional football, and you have the gall to cast aspersions about jamie carragher!
can you tell me when carra was jailed for beating a 16 year old senseless in the street?
can you tell me when carra viciously assaulted one of his team mates in training?
can you tell me how many times carra has been sent off in his career?
perhaps you would love to compare the answers to those questions with the lovable joey barton's career!!!
keep dreaming ash it's you who are the joke on this forum!!!!!!!!!!

| Quote Lord God Jose Mourinho="Lord God Jose Mourinho"From what I remember, Carragher had to charge down a shot to stop a good goal scoring opportunity for West Brom. He felt that the player should've been marked by someone else, so he had a right go at that player for not doing his job.
The other player argued back and they pushed each other. Another player came in, a little more shaving and that was it.
Hardly compares with the challenge on Alonso that got Barton banned, does it?
I don't like Liverpool. They're the club I detest most in football. I'd have loved it if Carragher had gone and done something stupid at the weekend. But seeing that incident I was disappointed. It was nothing. It was just a passionate dispute between team-mates which would've been forgotten about completely if it wasn't for supporters and the media making a mountain out of a molehill, as they sadly do with so many incidents nowadays.'"
absolutely spot on, the amount of times team mates have on field arguments is far more common than it is made out to be. who can forget the batty, le soux and bowyer, dyer spats? and only this season ricardo fuller punched one of his tam mates, but i suppose that pales into insignificance with the carragher-arbeloa disagreement.........according to some clowns on this forum!!!!!!!

Obviously I don't want Alonso to leave. However if we get offered £21 million for him and can replace him with Barry for £8 million as is being reported, I would be tempted. I'm not saying Barry is better than Alonso, however I don't think there is £13 million differential between their talents and anything over a £10 million difference in price would make me interested. That's £10 million to go towards another striker or a wide player. If it was purely for playing skills etc, I wouldn't get rid of him, ever. We have to look at the fact that the owners aren't willing to go overboard with available funds and if we can produce some of our own for swapping one player for antoher who is only slightly less talented then it could be worth it.

Spot on in my opinion.
Alonso's had a brilliant season, but as you say, there isn't £13million between the two players.

Who brought Barton into it? Everybody knows that he's a c*nt.
If Carragher wasn't scouse, you wouldn't even be defending him. That reminds me actually, where is Barton from again?
