It's how you do it that makes a difference.
In Union you can kick or carry the ball into touch but a deliberate throw or knock into touch is a penalty offence. If it stops a try that would otherwise have been scored then it's a penalty try.

I still don't think there was enough evidence for the video referee to award a penalty try. I'll stick with my earlier comment.

Whats all this rubbish about the RFU apologising to Australia for all the booing during Australias kicks at goal. It didn't do them any harm did it?

i don't get that either. so the fans aren't allowed to get behind england then at all?!

The RFU doesn't want it's £80 a ticket upperclass fans been labelled common muck like those RFL fans.



As a result in their £10 programmes there will be a message to supporters as well as a tannoy announcement asking fans to respect the kickers.

The RFU are worried it might spread to opposing fans & as England only ever score points from kicks it might put biscuit bones off.
