| Dear DD.... enjoy
GORDON STRACHAN is the new name in the frame to become Manchester City manager, writes NEIL CUSTIS.
Strachan and Blackburn boss Mark Hughes are top of the wanted list for those advising Thaksin Shinawatra — the former Thai Prime Minister, whose £108million takeover bid for the Eastlands outfit is the one favoured by the City board.
Celtic chief Strachan, 50, is on a one-year rolling contract at Parkhead so would have no problem leaving the club. He is also understood to be keen on the move back to the Premiership.
Shinawatra’s advisers are desperately trying to steer him away from appointing former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri.
And Strachan — who led Southampton to the 2003 FA Cup final and Celtic to two Scottish titles — is seen as the right man to get the most out of Shinawatra’s promised £50m transfer kitty.
Hail to the Celts and their double

Good God! Please no!
The League and Cup double is won, but yet another downright abysmal performance.
I suppose it's churlish to complain, but the warning signs are there. Unless there is a major overhaul up front and in midfield, Celtic won't win a bean next season.
To be fair to Strachan, his team played good football last season, but this season it's been dire in the extreme.

| Celtic are rumoured to be preparing a bid for Rami Shabaan. This in turn strengthens the rumours that Boruc to Bayern Munich is done.

People are predicting he'll be Sweden's goalkeeper ahead of Isaksson soon.

I hope this is true, not because Nakamura isn't a good player but £10m think of the fun Celtic could have with that, first up would be Jason Koumas like for like.

| Before you lot go looking at Koumas you sure there isn't anymore Hibs players you want from us? What now that Killen looks to be signing and you're after Benji, thought you may want a couple more as you like us so much.

| Andy McNeil is a good player he could replace Boruc.
Zibbi Malkowski could then come back to his rightful place.

Well... as John Collins has lost the dressing room...
Celtic are rumoured to be playing the 7-2-1 formation next year. Strachan can't seem to stock pile enough centre halves.
