Our middles get some stick and it is absolutely deserved but this lad deserves a thread of praise because he is outstanding.

He ran for big meters and was all over the field again.

After his line break he was still putting his hand up in the same set asking for the ball when most other forwards would tuck themselves out of the way for a rest.

He puts these performances in week in week out.

We will inevitably lose him to the NRL in the not too distant future but whilst we have him we need to surround him with some quality props so we can see the best of him in a Wigan shirt before he goes and also so he doesn’t burn out later in his career.

Melbourne were sniffing around just before he signed his last contact. It’s inevitable he’ll go at some point but hopefully we’ll see him fulfil his potential at Wigan first because he’s got bags of it

I must say that i thought that he really stepped up tonight unlike Bullock and Clark

He looks to have NRL written all over him, can see him doing a Sutton.

Just wish he had more support around him in the pack.

Thought he stood out big time for you guys tonight, started the game bullying Battye in particular in every collision and I expected him to slow down but he never really did, seems to have a good engine and is a real bully in the middle.

I think Clark went ok apart from the knock on.

He offered a bit more than just graft.

Did a couple of dynamic runs and put in some big hits. Would have liked to see him introduced a bit sooner.

Bullock is poor. Came bouncing on like a world beater with 8 minutes to go but that enthusiasm lasted all of 1 set.

He's copped some unfair criticism on here at times. People seem to have unrealistic expectations for such a young prop. He's been our best prop this year (not that he's had much competition) and was our best prop last season before injury. He'll be inconsistent at times because pretty much every young forward is but he's clearly an exceptional talent and tonight he was outstanding.

It's just a cause of massive frustration that at a club like Saints or Wire he'd be playing alongside a couple more dominant prop forwards and would really get to learn from some of the best and most experienced players in his position without being overburdened. Whereas at Wigan he's pretty much indispensable and player who has to carry our front row.

Rightly or wrongly (the latter IMO) that comes with the turf of being the clubs best prop forward, and he’s what 20? There’s no way he should hold that place yet. And that’s why I fear for him. He is an awesome prop forward, no doubt about it but the pressure on his shoulders to lead not just the pack, but the team forward is immense and it’s pressure he shouldn’t have at his age.

It says a lot for our “senior props” in Bullock, Clubb, Singo and to an extent Clark who struggle to make any ground.

If we won’t have him longer than another couple of years (which is extremely depressing) then I’d be playing him from the start every week and he’d be playing 60-70 minutes. It’s a disgrace that he’s head and shoulders our best prop at 20 years of age but he’s the only class act we’ve got in that front row. He had a pretty quiet start to the season by his high standards set last season but he’s really coming in to his own now.

We’re all accepting he will go for some bizarre reason. Why? Has he said he wants to go to the NRL? We sell off our talent so quickly these days, He may stay here for the rest of his career!

Clark makes ground but then loses the ball, as he did twice in a short spell tonight. When you add in his poor defence you can’t blame Lam for leaving him out. Bullock is getting on my nerves. He is an absolute cardboard tank. The lad should be blitzing teams but he genuinely looks like he’d rather be at home watching tv sometimes.

We can’t hold anybody anymore, we just can’t. Other clubs can for some reason but we can’t and don’t really seem like we want to. Talk was he nearly didn’t sign this deal, so it doesn’t look overly promising. Alarm bells surely ring when a kid that good signs for two years only. Wigan would absolutely love to have got him on a five year deal I’m sure but they didn’t. Like it or not we’ve become a feeder club. We need players to do well but not too well or else they’ll leave as and when the opportunity crops up.

He wanted to establish himself before going to the NRL hence signing the new deal at Wigan. Unless something drastic changes he’ll go when the times right for him. Yes it’s frustrating but our game over here is dying and the NRL has always been the better product so can’t really blame him. Not to mention the money and lifestyle.

Clark knocked on 3 times (only 2 seen by the official) in 13 minutes.

In the first half we made a nice offload near the line and Bullock was one on one with Rocky Hampshire 2 metres from the line…… and got tackled.

Havard is basically Stuart Fielden imo. Going to be an international prop for years.

Was class all of last year but taken him a few games to find he’s stride this year but was awesome in a beaten pack night.
