Anyone know what time the coaches will leave Wigan for the Saints game? Do they always pick up at the Spinning Wheel?

Although presumably you can easily do it by train from Wigan too?

Train is a doddle mate. It takes about 20-25 mins from North Western to St Helens central and the grounds about a 10 minute walk. We usually do that and don't tend to encounter any issues. There's a good few pubs round the centre as well.

Not sure on the coach.

Thanks. Sounds OK. I've been to Warrington by train (from Wigan) last season, but not Saints. So I'll need to be at the railway station around 2 pm at the latest, I guess. Haven't decided how I'll make the journey yet. I suspect car will be out of the question because of holiday traffic, so it'll be either bike or train.

I think you are best taking the train but if you really need to go by car then I would recommend parking in the streets off Jackson street and then take the foot bridge over the railway in Manor Street. It brings you out right by the ground at the away end. It is also good for a quick get away through Parr.

Can anyone recommend any decent pubs near to the ground for a pre-match beverage?
