| Here's hoping for a class match between two of the present best teams in Super League
Of course, I'm hoping for a Wire win but either way I think its a great achievement for both Clubs to be at Old Trafford
Who wants it more?? Wire have a number of departing players including Morley, Carvell, Cooper, Hodgson, McCarthy and Williams all of whom (realistically) realise this could be their last-chance of achieving a Grand Final Winners Ring..........so you can expect the playing ones (Morley, Carvell & Cooper) to be up-for-it..........but then you guy's equally have Tomkins & Richards of the same; and the Club looking for the Double
It's gonna be intruiging to say the least and I'm not gonna make any prediction simply because I can't call this one either way........
But may the best team win............

Thank you.
Answer me this question, please.....what was your view going into last year's game, we've got one major trophy, anything else is a bonus, or this could be the greatest season in recent memory?
At the moment, I'm inclined to favour the first view as far as we're concerned.
Interested to know, cheers.

Bradford v Saints from '02 will take some beating, but I agree it could be a classic. Look at the line ups from that game. It's crazy how good the quality was then compared to now:
1. Withers - Wellens
2. Vaikona - Albert
3. Naylor - Gleeson
4. Costin - Newlove
5. Vainikolo - Stewart
6. R.Paul - Sculthorpe
7. Deacon - Long
8. Vagana - Britt
9. Lowes - Cunningham
10. Fielden - Ward ( )
11. Gartner - Bennett
12. Peacock - Jonkers
13. Forshaw - Joynt
14. Pryce - Hoppe
15. Gilmour - Higham
16. Anderson - Stankevich
17. Brian McDermott - Shiels

| if the cap was £1.8m in 2002 then for a team of that quality taking into account inflation you would be spending £2.48m now......shows just how far as a sport we have gone backwards........lol

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| Been watching the GF re-runs on Sky this week. It's depressing how much quality was in each team, even going back just 5 or 6 years
Our 2000 and 2001 teams would smash our current team.

I think it was slightly different for us, simply because the League title has eluded us for so long.... I think the Challenge Cup last year was the bonus for us, but the SL title was, and still is, the holy grail for Wire.
For you, because of your proud record in the Cup, I think the Challenge Cup is, and will always be, special.... Of course, a cup and League double will be good, but I think Wire, and certainly our fans, are probably just a tad hungrier (or more desperate) for the win on Saturday - By that, I mean there will be more tears from our fans if we get beat, than yours...

We are stronger in other areas though
Charnley on the wing now instead of Goulding
Green instead of Deacon
Flower, Mossop, Taylor and Crosby instead of Fielden, Coley, Prescott and Paleaaesina
Also, Faz played last time off the bench.
I'd say '10 team just edges it but they wouldn't smash the current team
