Unless my memory is dodgy, I can't remember a time (from early 80's onwards) where they have trailed behind us so much at any point during a season.

Good job they managed an unlikely win at Headingley or they would have been languishing around the bottom third of the table on 13 points in total.

Yes, but oddly our attendances went up by around 10% that season, adn I can honestly say that I have never had as much fun at games as a fan.

70-0 at Leeds, singing "we're having a party".

75-0 at Saints and still singing.

Salford fans singing "going down , going down, going down"
Us replying with "So are we, so are we, so are we".

I think it was the lack of expectation that made it so easy to actually support the team during the hard times.

It would take another season of the current level of crapness for us to get to that stage I guess. All I hear at the moment is moaning and whining. I suppose we are blessed that our transitional period doesn't involve threat of relegation.
