Must say the squad this year is awesome. To be missing from your side:

•Fielden( a top prop, once best in the world)

•Roberts( was amazing at the start of last year, front runner for MoS till his injury)

•Goulding( winger who scored 30 tries last year, and an England international)

•Gleeson( world class centre, who was a key figure last year)

To have all those missing and still be where we are. Fantastic!

I have to disagree with that. Just because were still doing well without these players doesnt mean we have better options.

For a start Gleeson is a better centre than Joel by some way at this moment in time. If we had Gleeson it would enable us to play Joel our second best second rower imo to go back to his natural position.

We definatley dont have better options then Fielden. Last year Stu was our best prop and when he's fit he'll come straight back in.

Agree regarding Goulding and Roberts though atm.

I do however think we have missed Gleeson. More often than not our attack down the right hand side gets cut out. Joel does a commendable job at centre, though as previously said, I'd much rater see him playing SR with a natural centre.

The only "possible" exception being Gleeson but he's gone, thats bye the bye for whatever reason.. Fielden - no. Get him coaching, he'l be cracking.. il say nothing more on Stu cos il get crucified on here!

I think the majority of fans would take Gleeson back in a heatbeat and have Joel back in the second row. As for Stu, he may be in the latter stages of his career, but you can guarantee that as soon as he is fit again he will come back into the squad straight away.

Will he though?

Everything we've seen from Maguire suggests that form takes precedence over anything else. With Hock and Fielden returning, that set of forwards is going to get very congested, but i can't see Stu walking back into the squad at, for instance, Mossop's expense unless he does something wrong.

Nice for us to be able to discuss which top quality props will be left out though
