We are proud of the 12 players who played better than the 13 of stains, how is that being a sore losers?

| Saints have all but one of their halfbacks out injured. The one halfback they do have on the field is knocked-out of the game by thuggery in the second minute after the Ape has spent the week talking-up his 'hatred' of Saints and his 'do what it takes' attitude to winning. Coincidence ? I don't think so.
Saints may have been ordinary against 12 men, but its hardly a surprise without a creative player on the field.
Every team in SL will at some point be aggressive in their approach to certain games, but the Goons got what they deserved yesterday having got away with it for the past few seasons..... whether it be cannonball tackles, late shoulder charges, high shots, or just punching a man already incapacitated on the ground.
Flower will be held to account for his actions by the RL and cop a ban. I'm guessing Wane won't be for his admission through his own words of the tactics he employs.

check out the cannonball tackle Stains did in the 2nd half... the best team lost yesterday and please check Wanes credentials for the last 10 years and post an educated comment

I'm not questioning Wanes last 10 years. I don't think anyone on this thread has ? I'm just repeating what he's said this week about the way he coaches his team.
And yes, I agree with you about the better team on the night losing. But that's hardly a surprise against a team without a recognised halfback on the pitch for 78 minutes of the game.
While your chomping on those sour grapes re-direct the bitterness to Wane & Flower. They are the reason Wigan lost.

yet with 2 quality half backs you could only muster one try, despite playing "amazing", i would be disappointed had my team, despite being a man short could only create one try despite having 2 quality half backs compared to their ageing full back/2nd rower combination.
playing "amazing" does not win you trophies, scoring tries does, and the team with no half backs or creative players scored more than your lot.

Sorry but simple is incorrect, please don’t try to tell me that you haven’t watched a game in sport and seen the better side lose?

Too early for mine. He's got the size and pace we need in players to have any chance whatsoever against the Aussies but he's been out of the game for 3 seasons and hasn't even had a proper RL pre season. That said, he's a quality player and I guess the forthcoming series will determine whether it's the right decision or not. Obviously McNamara thinks he's worth the gamble. Personally I would have thought there were better options given the timing.

| For all the people talking about 'Thug rugby' etc. please do us all a favour and go get a life. What Flower did was unacceptable. What Westwood did in last seasons final was unacceptable. What Sinfield did in headbutting Dorn was unacceptable. I could go on, not only from this season or last, but throughout rugby league history and across all clubs. Could someone please go through the other16 players who took the field yesterday and point out the 'thugs' or indeed an further 'thuggish behaviour' from the rest of the match. And before you do, also take a moment to compare and contrast with your own teams. You'll find NO team is whiter than white. Get off your high horses. This was one man's indiscretion and nothing more.

| Can any of you RL experts explain to me why cockney lad was allowed to pull Sarginson away when he was attempting to stop Soliola scoring? Looked pretty blatant to me.

In those two incidents the victim was conscious when he was hit.

| Quote: Phuzzy "With all due respect mate, you're talking rubbish. If you're going to use ONE game to justify your comments, at least make it one where it wasn't 12 v13 and preferably not one half a dozen games back into Tomkins return. Why not try the 2011 Challenge cup final for Tomkins perhaps and maybe the whole of last season for Bateman when he virtually carried the Bradford pack single handedly and won young player of the year. In fact take practically any game for us this season too. I'd start with Good Friday where he consistently ripped you a new one playing out of position!'"
You paid a massive fee for Bateman people suggesting he was the next Jamie Peacock etc... his done nothing but disappoint me every time ive seen him play and last night was no different. Luke Thompson for example totally outplayed the lad.
As for Joel Tomkins his done absolutely nothing since his return to Rugby League. Absolutely shocking decision from Mcnamara to include him in the England squad. I can only guess his there to keep Sam happy.

| I'm so happy that i have not wasted a second of this lovely autumnal day, reading the expected vitriol from the usual one eyed mouth breathers, that like to see the greatest club in world rugby lose a final....

| I'm at a loss with Wane and the 'hatred' talk in the match build up. I don't hate Wigan or their fans as some are friends. I think Wane needs to think before he speeks.

| Quote: Judder Man "Going down to 12 men didn,t effect the structure of the team though they just had to put in extra effort to put in for the lost man. For Saints they lost there one and only playmaker and had to make 4 positional changes dissrupting whatever game plan they had up to half time.
Saints also lost a rotation player off the bench so it was 16 v 16.
It was a great victory under exceptional circumstances, it was a victory for rugby league against the[size MONGRELISM of THUGBY[/size.'"
