I wouldn’t say stuck in the 80’s, a lot of fans just want better and it’s the same at every club in every sport that has tasted success.

Of course we want better but some fans still think that even under a salary cap we should have 17 internationals in our side and sign the likes of Cronk, Tedesco and the Burgess clan.

We have the marquee signing allowance that allows us to pay Cronk and Tedesco the salaries they’d require to come and play for us so it is possible if Lenagan is willing to pay a hell of a lot of money out of his own pocket for it to happen. (Not that I would if I were him TBH)

Tbh if Wigan are running without losses now I wouldnt be surprised...and impressed how Wigan are still in touch of being competitive when you take out Saints and Wire. Think you'll squeeze the 5 now. The week off will do wonders.

Fans stop going when they don't like what the see or they find something better to do.
IL to increase gates has to improve the former which will assist in offsetting the latter.
The recent strategy of dull percentage play and lack of star quality plainly isn't working. Fans moaning on forums isn't driving down gates it's the standard of the product on offer.

Parents can take their kids to the pictures/bowling/McDonalds etc at a fraction of the cost or can buy them a computer game or points for whatever game they play. They need to reduce prices for families IMO.

You're not watching live sport though. Reducing prices has little effect, as has been proved many times (Huddersfield being a good example)

If you reduced the prices by say £5 per ticket you would need increase the attendance to 16 - 17K. Won't happen

A junior season ticket is £30, you couldn't buy a decent computer game for that, and they'd be sick of it within two months. A cinema seat for a junior is around £6. If they want to go McDonalds then they deserve everything they get, is it any wonder we have so many obese kids!!

Reducing ticket prices won’t work at Huddersfield because they’ve only got 2000 fans full stop, that’s including arm chair fans.

Whereas when we do the big one one have adults £10 and kids £5 we get a good attendance.
