No. Both coaches agree with you.

This. I can understand some of the outrage with how it looks and who did it but Flower isn't even looking at the lad, he's got an arm up to charge the ball and catches him badly on the way down. I can't argue with the red card and a possible 2-3 game ban because it was reckless, but I'm not seeing a deliberate attack.

bollox, Flower knew where his forearm was heading long before he looked away, and by "long" I mean fractions of a second.
Still, he didn't hurt nobody so what's the problem, I mean if O'loughlen can get away with what he did then Flower deserves an apology for the red really.
Does it seem like there's been more red cards for Wigan this season than usual....I dunno

Meh, as stated, I'll agree with Tony Smith and you can keep looking for Red Hall conspiracies and boo hoo-ing about nasty evil Wigan.

He lead with the elbow got a sending off,dont think it was intentional though but wont play again this season i feel.

Seen it quite a few times now and still can't see a great deal in it. Patton was fine, and to his credit didn't make theatricals out of it. You see things just as bad most weeks. Luke Walsh's upending the other week was much more dangerous IMO. For me it was a forearm meant for the chest, from I tired frustrated player, and he will get what is deemed to be deserved. The usual piranhas, and mole-hill mountain makes are always looking for any excuse to say the word thug, ad nauseam. So let um!

never a fan of attacks on the kicker as he is a very vulnerable position. Mind you i hate any form of attack on prone or vulnerable players.

It has to be said that the Powell KO was a bad one IMO. Totally clumsy of Currie to put his knees in that area and the outcome of a full on knee smash to the temple must be worse than an elbow to the jaw.

I know the lad is crocked and will miss a good few games by the sound of it but this needs citing IMO.

Same goes for any player that does it (Sam T.....)

Must be said though that before the brain fart, Flower was in true beast mode. Making silly yards and scattering defenders left right and chelsea

I don't think Flower's challenge was anything like as bad as O'loughlens, and that is still playing, if Flower gets more than one or two games I think he's been unlucky.

Tony Smith can't say F'all, Flowers sending off didn't hinder Wire or injure Patten but they still lost, so what would be the point in bitching about the challenge........s'right, no point at all, so shaddap about Tony Smith
