If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| Quote: Cruncher "It may just be that they don't want to publicly tell the guy he isn't wanted before this campaign has finished. It's no skin of Wigan's nose if they've already got something sorted, and it would spare Noble a bit of embarrassment.
Of course, they won't be able to wait forever for him to announce that he's going somewhere else.
On the other hand, if Noble was staying for another year, I see nothing to be gained whatosever by withholding it.'"
I think this just about sum's it all up...

Quite surprised at this from what i was told it he was all but signed a couple of months ago for Wigan, his inclusion in the semi team though perhaps was an indication relationships had been improved upon.
Would have liked him with us in 2010 think he could have given us so much needed consistent go forward.
I am now really concerned that we have missed out on another target and starting to think we really will not be making any additions to the frontrow, really hope i am wrong on this.

The way he was celebrating at FT in the semi had me hopeful he'd signed a new deal. He started poorly this season, had a fall out with Browny and got dropped for 'disciplinary reasons' for two weeks but since then has improved consistently. I'm glad we've kept him as it looks like Jacko is off to Cas and we don't want wholesale changes to our pack. We could use one more top prop to replace Jacko though. Seems Korky will be off to Wakey and I don't think Scully is the answer.

The way its going we may be in a bidding war for Scully with you as the options in the frontrow market seem to be very limited now to say the least.

| Griffin came across to be our last resort of actually signing anybody for 2010, it is a tad worrying that we have appeared to have missed out on him.
However, I trust IL has other targets or may have already got somebody (or somebodies) lined up.

To be honest, I doubt that.
They may take a hit if we fail to do anything in the play-offs and if Noble is still in charge next year, but I doubt that masses of fans are waiting to see if we sign a star before they commit. And I'd say it was highly unlikely that anyone at all was waiting on Griffin before they decided (much as I think he'd have done a good job for us).
This is clearly part of a painful re-education we're having to go through about cutting down on signing big names and instead trying to grow our own (which will be essential when the overseas quota finally bites). I'm still hopeful that we'll occasionally pull in a big star, but the emphasis has clearly now shifted away from signing a new bag of players every close season. We fans are just going to have to get used to that.

To be fair I had spoken to a few of the coaches and junior players and it seemed nailed on he was on his way to Wigan given his relationship breakdown with certain people within the Hudds club.

| The only name in the prop department we've been linked with who is still available would be Ryan Boyle of Cas, will be interesting to see where he ends up now.

Apparently, Cas' are training to sign Paul Jackson from Huddersfield.
Could be to replace Ryan Boyle.

| Read on the Cas board that Boyle will be going to Salford.
I can't see that he'd be any better then O'Carroll or Mossop anyway.
If we're to sign anybody it must be a prop that got abit of experience about him and will just drive us forward.
IMO it'd be pointless signing abit of a 'project' style signing who you 'hope' will be a good player in 2 or 3 years.........we have enough of them already.

mick hogan has stipulated that the home grown players will be the backbone of this wigan team. which i agree with 100%.
