What qualifications do you have to say you know better than Brian Noble?'"
The statement may be embarrassing, but it's no more embarrassing than Noble's record.

His career is finished then isn't it. He is quite clearly useless to us as he will be targeted when he plays and we dare not play him in case he is.

Do yourself a favour and check out his win/loss ratio during his time at Wigan.
Whatever you think, Noble has had his time, it should be brought to a dignified end.

I dont see anything embarrassing about his win/loss ratio to be honest.
I certainly would not be embarrassed if i was Brian Noble.

Whatever i think Noble has had his time?
Why is that?
Because some 'hack' called Jack Kerley on a message board thinks so??

Certainly not, Ainscough is like an apprentice, he needs to take a back step and learn things and he can practise them playing in the reserves, when he perfects it he can do it for the first team, we don't want to ruin him by throwing him in at the deep end like we have done for years.
Rugby League coaches are ruthless and will target the weakest link all night long unfortunatley.
Ainscough is a cracker and Id rather have him ripping it up in superleague and having a break but in the meantime chomping at the bit to play first team with his enthusiasm rather than play him non stop and teams will find a weakness and take advantage of it and ruin his confidence and enthusiasm.
The same goes for Sam

Just a question - how do you know when he is ready ?
Players make mistakes at all levels, ready or not - and I don't believe he is any worse than other players in our side defensively.
In fact some of our worst defensive errors this year have come from so called experienced NRL stars in Roberts and Carmont - do we advocate dropping Carmont into the reserves until he looks ready to make a one on one tackle ?.
Phelps one on one attempt on Ben Fisher in the first half last night made Mathers look like a defensive rock.
Good players learn from their mistakes and improve from it, bad ones don't, he needs to be given the opportunity to see which category he falls into - Ainscough has proved he can mix it at the top level judging by his try ratio

Jack thinks Wigans best two players are Ainscough and Tomkins.
That probably says a lot about his RL knowledge.

Maybe in a few years but the amount of pressure the Wigan fans are piling on them is huge. As soon as we lose a tight game on a terrible night to the league leaders people are calling for Tomkins and Ainscough back in the team and Noble shot.

He needs more time to work on things due to the pressure of playing for Wigan, if he was at Wakefield (no offence) where there are less fans he wouldn't be under the microscope and scrutiny as they are at Wigan so he could carry on playing without the criticism.
But because he plays for most famous and successful and best supported RL team ever he needs to be brought through slowly. Experienced NRL stars do make mistakes but like you say they are experienced.
He is an apprentice and needs to learn rather than thrown in.
You say when his he ready?
We are on the back of a loss and he has scored 3 in the reserves and hasn't played for a few games, now is the time to bring him back and if he has a stormer keep him in for next week, if he doesn't and makes mistakes, work on them in the reserves until he plays himself back in to the team, do that for the rest of the year and maybe next depending on how well and hard he works to perfect his game and he will be complete and ready for the 5 shirt hopefully for the rest of his career.

Well sadly some so called supporters cant see beyond the own nose never mind try to see the bigger picture where young players need protecting from time to time.

| Quote: Buffalo "Absolutely. We'll never know for sure but that was a massively physical game, as well as a hugely testing game for everyone's skills and whilst hindsight is a wonderful thing Nobby selected the best team, in theory, for the conditions.'"
So why did he play a half back who's game is based on passing (Smith) and leave one out who's game is based on running at the line (Tomkins)?
If he had an eye on the weather by selecting Riddle why did he not consider the rest of the players and if their games were suited to the conditions?
We also continued to try and play the expansive game in appallingly wet weather so if Noble took the weather conditions into account you could have fooled me.
Tomkins and Ainscough grew up playing in that sort of weather, they won't rust or shrink if they get a bit damp and both of them are suited to games in that sort of weather. Tomkins because as I said he is primarily a running half back and Ainscough because he is a winger who goes looking for work and doesn't sit on his wing waiting for passes. He is also difficult to put down as his tackle bust stats show show so in those conditions he would be hard to contain.

Maybe he did and his opinions are different to yours. Something you seem unable to live with.
