If he can sort himself and his lifestyle out over the next 2 years and fills his time doing something positive then I say good luck to the guy and I hope he gets the opportunity for a 2nd chance.
He's not the first person to c*ck thinks up - I haven't met that many perfect people, but it's how he reacts from now onwards that matters.

He's made a big mistake.
Buckle down, get some discipline and he'll get another chance. His future is in his own hands. He will have people willing to help him, but unfortunately some of his "mates" will also be hanging around in the background.
