cant be bothered reading the whole thread....but it seems moneys going to community coaching projects....ie the club.
the project is run like the lotto as a registered charity, thus saving the club costs for coaches etc. So its NOT going to a worthy cause, its going indirectly into the club coffers.
itts up to £310 so far and includes 2 adult and 2 child tickets.

it says the mascot gets to wear the full kit......it doesnt say he/she gets to keep it, but i would have thought at the price its going for they could give the winner the kit and have it autographed by the team.

anyway....if anyone wants to fork out that much to make their kids day , then good luck to them..........but i think its a tacky stunt in the first place and it makes me ashamed to be part of a club that sinks this low.

I know we have other things to worry about at the moment but rlthisrl is the single most embarassing thing I have known Wigan, or any professional sports club to do.

TBH I actually don't think its a 'bad' idea. Not the best by any means but it's a good initiative IMO.

What was wrong with it was it was not made clear all proceeds are to charity.

The listing has now been amended I believe to make this clear.

So yes the club screwed up by not making this clear but will have learned their lesson.
