| Quote: hesslefan "Connor head high tackle and he is sin binned. Farrell does the same and is only penalised.
Hull warned for offside at successive plays and a penalty. Wigan warned for markers not square at successive plays and only six again.
Child gave six again to Wigan on a couple of occasions only after Wigan players exaggeratedly complained.
Wigan consistently - and I’m not just talking about this game - move off the mark when playing the ball and the referee penalises the defending side for pushing them back.
Even the commentators referred to how offside Wigan were at the end but no action by the referee
More than any other team Wigan have learnt how to play referees.
Overall a good performance from Hull considering the above.'"
Connor swung an arm above his own shoulder height. He knew exactly what he was doing and made direct contact with Zak's head. Hence the reaction both at the time and at the end of the match. Farrell's initial tackle was over the shoulder and finished up round the neck. Never even made contact with the head, let alone it being 'head high'. If you can't tell the difference I suggest you stop posting on open forums as your making a fool of yourself.
As for the rest of your post. Utter drivel. I guess you missed how your team deliberately and consistently give set restarts on tackle 1 in order to set the defence. Playing the rules is 2nd nature to Hull every bit as much as Wigan or any other team in the league. Instead of trying to excuse your own team's misdemeanours whilst simultaneously criticising the opposition, why not try having a balanced view. It's really not that difficult.

| I hope the racist allegation isn't true. Some of our fans really aren't showing us in a good light when discussing it on social media. A racial insult really isn't on a par with calling someone a cockney or the like.

There were many opportunities for him to report it to the referee, just watch Sam Powells reaction!'"
His free to report it to the ref whenever he sees fit. Reporting it 20 mins later makes doesn't make it any less truthful.

| Our attack needs French at FB.
Clubb can be sacked tomorrow if that’s true, lowest of the low.
Kinda feel a bit of Salford in 2019 playoffs vibes and feel we may get beat next week.

French looks dangerous from the back, and I was glad he was out on the wing today.'"
Hardaker for me. For a few reasons; he is highly motivated and clearly wants that FB jersey for England, that makes him dangerous to the opposition and an absolute diamond for us and he’s proving it. He is a quality FB and was arguably at one stage the leagues best, he hasn’t put a foot wrong in any game and is strengthening his hold on that jersey.
French had a huge break at home, missed all of pre season and can go mid season back to Australia. Just because he isn’t as good on the wing as he is at FB is no reason to move him back there and switch out Zak. If he wants it, just like Zak is he’ll have to earn it.

What I generally find is on Twitter/Facebook the loud minority will speak up, generally those from the right leaning tendencies who get angry if England is mentioned last when listing the home nations.
The silent majority meanwhile completely agree that it’s despicable and is very serious. The problem is is when they call out the loud minority they’re piled on and called leftie snowflakes which is in itself ironic as the ones being the snowflakes are the ones throwing the insult around.
Most Wigan fans will agree is abhorrent and has no place in our game.

| Thought he was a good tough game with not too much between the teams. For me the main difference was your halfbacks, we know Hastings is good but I really like Smith, I'd be starting him until the end of the season, I hope McNamara who is a couple of years younger can develop like he has.
A few players back for both teams for next week should make a good cup game.

It could be one of a few things, he may have been contemplating whether to report it or not and took his time to make the decision? He could have also been racking it in his brain exactly what Clubb said and making sure he heard it correctly?
For me it probably makes it worse for Clubb, I doubt Savelio would say it if not true but you would expect a false allegation to be made in the heat of the moment not 20 minutes later.
Be interesting to see what Clubb says, I will think more of him if he comes out, admits it and apologises and takes the rap. I think you have to take into account the circumstances, they were rearing up face to face in the midst of battle, Is it worse than punching him? The law certainly doesn’t class it as.
I’m not at all trying to defend him and say it shouldn’t be punished like some but I don’t think he’s quite the KKK member some people on social media are making out. I also think a lot of Wigan fans are using it as a convenient excuse to ask for him to be sacked as he offers nothing on the pitch (I’m not sure how he makes the team personally?) but I doubt that would be the case if it was one of our better performers imo.

I think your right, about the player involved. Would they call for others to be sacked. From experience when racist abuse is targeted using a prefix eg you @#££ c..t it is dealt with more severely. For what it’s worth Savelio did the right thing reporting during the game, it couldn’t have been an easy decision for him.

I agree with all of that. Anyone trying to turn a bit of the blame back on to Savelio for not reporting it straight away is really missing the point. As you say, he might have been taking his time to think about it. He might have been trying to put it to the back of his mind to concentrate on playing. He might have just mentioned it to a team mate who encouraged him to report it. Savelio is well within his rights to report it whenever he wants.
Even if he did say say it though I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean he hates Polynesians. He's said something offensive in the heat of battle. Worse things happen all the time. I just hope that he's a big man about it and comes out and apologises to Savelio and all the other Polynesian players for his ignorant and offensive insult.
If Clubb plays next week I imagine he will be in for some serious punishment from Hull's Polynesian contingent. Wouldn't surprise me if he's left out of the firing line.

He’ll get what’s coming to him and rightfully so. The world is hot on absolutely any form of racism at the minute. These things don’t have sliding scales of offensiveness, so he’ll be judged in the same way if he’d racially abused a black or Asian player. I wouldn’t sit in a group who’d say it’s like calling him a lazy, useless, cockney **** but we do have double standards as a society when it comes to things like this. Had Clubb done it to Josh Reynolds next week instead and called him an Aussie so and so or to Regan Grace and called him a Welsh one, we wouldn’t bat an eyelid. I’m not sure that’s right but it’s the world we live in right now and players should know better.
I really do hope Clubb comes out and just owns up to it (presuming he’s said it) and takes what’s coming. He’ll get an inflated punishment in the current climate and be made an example of and he’s only himself to blame.

But xenophobic abuse seems widely accepted on the whole, racial abuse certainly not. If he called Grace a b***k c**t it would definitely get at least the same reaction, probably worse. And vice versa if he’d have called Savelio a Kiwi c**t or Wire c**t it probably wouldn’t be viewed the same and probably not reported,
