The bit that baffles me is it was TTs ban that was reduced and not Charnley's. How can an action that could cause serious injury and potentially end a players season or career ok to be waived away with a reduced ban, but a ban for touching a ref is upheld?
The RFL simply look after thier own....

Brian McDermott replied to Shaun Wane's comments yesterday and I must admit that in my eyes, McDermott has given a fair overview - Nobody an argue that Tautai's tackle wasn't a bad one and McDermott actually said its nothing about Wigan or TT but that he wants that tackle out of the game and refs / governing body need to make a stand on it.
I don't think Wane should be constantly looking for these battles week in week out. It's happened with Wakefield & Chris Chester, Cas & Daryl Powell and Leeds & Brian Mc are the latest now. I just think it alienates a lot of rugby league and it's almost an "us v the world" mentality - whether this is some mind games ploy to motivate his players I'm not sure but I don't think it's good to see.

Interesting McDermott seems to nor mention Ablett targeting the eyes of Greenwood during their handbags scuffle. Scott Moore picked up a 4 game ban for contact with the eyes recently with significantly less video evidence to back up the charge.
Maybe he should address the conduct of his own players before choosing to have a go at others, unless as a man he condones his players targeting the oppositions eyes.
