Hardaker at centre you mean? I wouldn't mind seeing Hardaker at 1 and Tomkins at 6. Watkins should come in at centre, if he is fit.

| Watkins and Cudjoe can't tackle , Hardaker can . Hardaker also has a bit of spark to his play and he is Charnleys best mate. It's a no brainier pairing those two up

I see the logic. That presumably means leaving Ablett on the other side though if you're discounting Cudjoe and Watkins? Not sure I'm convinced Ablett is an international class centre. I wouldn't mind Watkins and Hardaker at 3 and 4 though, I think Watkins is one of few strike players we have who poses a genuine threat from anywhere on the field.

You have the right to post anywhere, you are 100% correct. Why on earth would you come on a Wigan board, as a Saints fan, and post things that may be seen as a 'dig' at a Wigan player, and then moan when people accuse you of being biased and whatnot?
Like I said, there's tons of other board/threads/places to discuss the England game. You do it on here because you like the reaction you get when you highlight that a Wigan player does something slightly wrong. Pathetic

| Quote: Kaii "Josh Charnley vs Ryan Hall for #2 shirt, no one in their right mind would pick Ryan Hall'" Hall is the best winger we have but it should be him on the left with Josh on the right. I don't think Cudjoe is as bad in defence as has been said by some and he's one of only two out and out centres in the squad.
The main problem for me was the halves. No direction or control, seemingly no plan whatsoever when you'd think we'd be preparing for the game next week. We put on one decent second man play to get the ball to Sam in some space and scored from it. You'd think that our attacking structure would involve our best player quite heavily but on this performance McNamara seemingly has other ideas, like get it to Rangi Chase on the short side so he can run up his own .

It was probably just to allow Briscoe a game and maybe give Charnley a rest. I really wouldn't read too much into team selection for a friendly. The time to be worried is when he plays Ablett at centre against the Aussies.

This is the problem with modern day rugby, matches are thrown away and as punters we cant read into anything. We have no idea of what banana has in mind because I think ( and maybe we all agree) that he doesnt know what he has in mind. I couldnt see a classic coach such as Wayne Bennett throwing a match away, he's way too proffesional to do that and he's the benchmark for coaching. The aussies would never have lost to Italy it would be a national disgrace

| Quote: The Yellow Giraffe "Yes I am for real.
The Charnley knock on gave them the game as it presented the opportunity to kick the winning drop goal.
That doesn't mean that he is to blame for the defeat as what went in the 75 minutes prior to that incident obviously had a massive bearing on the result.
This really isn't that difficult.'"
Were you at the game?
If you were it's strange that you didn't mention Sinfields missed kick from the side of the posts, Grahams awful marker defence that let Italy score from dummy-half, a yard from the line, or his penalties (one for mouthing off). Then of course there was the George Burgess tackle right in front of the posts that gave the penalty for Italy to make the scores level.
Bar Sam Burgess, Sam Tomkins and maybe Widdop it was a very poor performance.
If Shaun Wane had coached that side they would still be on the pitch now, scared to death of walking back into the dressing room.

Sorry to everyone for being off topic, but you really should give it a rest mate, we all get it as you have said before you hate Wigan, and we get it, we know, your thin disguise of trying to be a reasonable pundit fools no one. I know what it’s like to go on other boards and being called a troll just for disagreeing with some idiot or other, but having said that I have sometimes let bile get the better of me, but when it does it’s best to stay away a while and try harder to be more constructive in your own posts, but you can’t can you? So keep on, ignore me and everyone else it makes no difference you will never succeed on here and a time will come when you will just be ignored all together. Back on topic. I think this game means little at this stage but I must say I doubt that the Australians would have let this happen to lose so close to the tournaments start. It just shows once again the difference in mind set is still there. It’s worrying.

| Message to Pemps.
I have tried to send you a PM (as instructed), but I am not convinced if it went, below is my PM.
"I received an email last night which implied that a post of mine was not accepted in the thread England Team for Warm Up.
I could not see much wrong with my post, but if I have broken the rules I apologise.
My biggest problem now is sending this as a PM, because I have not a clue how to send one."
It always makes one feel better when one confesses, especially on a Sunday morning.

| I was at Salford yesterday and saw a decent performance from the Knights, which was orchestrated by two half backs, Sarginson & Sam Powell, who seem to have played the full 80 mins. They guided the team around the pitch and organised well.
Then we get to the full England team against Italy and we had half a dozen different combinations at half back with seemingly nobody knowing what their roles were. If Sinfield and Chase are the number one choice they should have played the full eighty, they should train together, room together, eat together. We need a half back combination to work as a team and inspire confidence in the rest of the team.
