An idea some other clubs should maybe take note of instead of driving other fans away, like Hull FC seem to be doing.'"
as i say, i don't see how season ticket holders benefit from that, it's the non season ticket holders who get the free ticket, and if they pay for tickets in the future, it's the club that benefits. i'd quite happily take a £5 or £10 cut in price of my season ticket and not be eligible for a free ticket for someone else.

This is a good point but it will be interesting to see what happens when inevitably a group of away fans buy the cheaper tickets and end up in the middle of all the hull fans.
I'm certainly not saying Hull fans and away fans wont be able to sit together and behave... but it only takes one idiot.......
Fans on here say they'd welcome it... but would stewards be just as accepting? I cant see it personally.

You're just going completely off topic about something else because you know Hull FC are in the wrong and what both Wigan and Warrington fans are saying on this thread is right.
Either that or youre trying to justify Hull FCs rip off prices with the fact that Wigan gave away a few free tickets to the super league opener. Which would be stupid and yet again completely irrellevant.
Which one is it?

I'm not going off topic at all, i've said i don't think it's right for a club to offer better deals to home fans than away fans, but also pointed out that hull are not the only club doing this. That's hardly going off topic. Also, how is it irrelevant that home fans at the Huddersfield game paid £20 less than huddersfield fans, isn't that what the topic is about, that clubs should be charging the same ticket price whether you are a home fan or an away fan?

You really are digging yourself deeper.
By your warped logic, clubs also shouldn't be able to sell season tickets (I believe you call them passes for some reason), because they would be paying less per game than away supporters.
Just face it, your club has completely cocked this up. Given that Hull is halfway to Holland and it's not the most friendly place in the world, you should be setting prices to encourage away supporters to attend, not the opposite.

My club? i think you've got that a bit wrong, i'm a proud Wiganer, i've been a season ticket holder for 18 years.
And you talk about my 'warped logic' when you are the one comparing the discounted cost of a season ticket (when compared to buying 13 match tickets) to a season ticket holder getting a free ticket to a game... in one of those instances, the season ticket holder benefits, in another instance, a non season ticket holder benefits, can you figure out which is which? They are two different things.

| Got my responseThank you for your email regarding the ticketing pricing for away supporters at the KC Stadium.
The pricing for the North Stand, where away supporters sit, has been included in a newly reviewed pricing structure which has been put in place by the new management at the club. The move to offer seats for £23 as advance purchase and £25 on the gate was to bring the pricing in line with the other areas of the ground, including the popular West and East Stands.
The only areas of the ground that do not follow this pricing structure are the new family area of the West Stand and the South Stand, where special promotional prices have been set to reward Hull FC supporters for their loyalty in previous seasons.
The new look management at the club promised that an area of the ground would be reduced on match days for home supporters, which is why this area has been offered to fans.
The club are in no way discouraging away supporters from travelling to the KC Stadium this year and will continue to provide one of the best facilities for away fans in 2012, who will also be accompanied by dedicated supporter liaison officers from the club to ensure their match day experience in Hull is a positive one.
However, we had to make the justified business decision to review all our prices for the new season and bring them in line with the rest of the areas in the ground, whilst still finding a way to promote a special offer to our committed supporters despite the limitations of our user agreement with the Stadium Management Company.
I hope this goes someway to answering your email.'"
The main thing I get from that is that they believe a view along the touchline is comparable to a view behind the posts, which is just ludicrous.

I'm intregued by the "supporter liaison officer". Do they bring your pie and pint to your seat for you? Give you a shoulder to cry on if you lose, perhaps?

| that just answers nothing.
So if I decide on the day I want to go to the match and sit in the away end. It will cost me £25 to sit behind the sticks but If I was a home fan I could get a reserved seat along the middle of the touchline for £24 , or unreserved further along the touchline for £23. there is still no clarification of why an away fan has to pay 2 quid extra just because they haven't pre ordered a ticket. Wigan may charge £1 more than for the same seat in the south stand but we don't penalise fans who don't pre book by charging extra.
has anyone asked him if Away fans are welcome to sit in the south stand and pay the same as everyone else?
oh and from what I remember of the support liason officer (it may have changed since i last remember seeing one) was basically a woman who gave kids lollipops and basically tells you where the ground is when you get off the coach if your not able to see it for yourself from the car park.

The offer wasnt only for Wigan fans to bring other Wigan fans, as I have said before there were some Huddersfield fans who got free tickets from the offer. There was no rule that the free tickets couldnt go to Huddersfield fans, it was for ANYONE. Stop digging your hole, this is my last input into this subject because it seems you cant grasp the idea at all, its like pulling teeth.
