Quote: Dougy "Having just scanned thruogh this thread i can't believe how many posts are from 'St Pete'

Is he obsessed or what?! Why does he feel the need to come onto a Wigan site?!

I bet he has posted on this site more than his own!'"

Ive been coming on this site and having good chats and debates with some good wigan fans.

On friday i said i thought some was getting a little giddy that wane had coached a team on top of there game and 6 points clear at the top of the league to two wins.

They was two good wins but they was just carrying on what madge brought to the club, then john(wane) started some abuse on private messages to me and wanting a heated debate.

Yes, but it does seem odd that, 6 posts in on a thread which is nothing more really than Shaun Wane being congratulated by Wigan fans for taking over from Maguire just as the business end of the season starts (so it's very high pressure, regardless of Wigan being on their game) you pop up again sing at people and even telling one of them that he "looks a fool".

Who looks a fool? The Wigan fan delighted that the winning streak has continued despite the disruption at his club, or the Saints fan who seems to have an opinion on all things Wigan, even though he plainly doesn't know as much about what's going on as the Wigan fans he routinely disgrees with?

Ive give wigan nothing but praise this year, you've been by far best team in all departments. Best attack, best defence, most tries and prob coach of the year(not wane icon_wink.gif ) and prob man of steel.

All i said, he was getting giddy after wanes two games, one poster even says something like "who said the are new good english coaches"! If two games make you a good coach then every coach in super league is good.

IMO he was getting very carried away which in a way can understand as wane is wigan born and bread and it's obvious he loves the club.

Shaun Wane's track record goes way beyond the last two matches, and if you were a Wigan fan with a genuine interest in the way the club operates (rather than a Saints fan whose main interest seems to be disagreeing with Wigan fans online), you would know that. It's about far more than Shaun Wane being an local lad and ex-player.

Wane has served a long apprenticeship at Wigan, something like 10 years coaching junior sides. In all that time, despite the antics of some so-called head coaches, we haven't seen a hint of prima donna behaviour from him. He always plays a straight bat, and his record is pretty superb. I think in all the games that his teams have competed in in the last decade, he's only lost something like 14. Everyone at the club speaks very highly of him. Michael Maguire - a genuine taskmaster with a Melbourne pedigree - had no hesitation in appointing Wane as his assistant after interviewing him, or in leaving the first team in Wane's charge when he had to go back home.

To crow about people "getting giddy because he's won two matches" is a ridiculous and rather pompous comment.

Mate you are a liar and I am happy for you to post any "abusive PM's" from me, all in fact I did was laugh off YOUR offer of a meeting at the Wire v Saints game for a "quiet chat to get all the aggression out" according to you.

You have shown your true colours on this thread, I am actually embarrassed I engaged with you but it is what it is.

Finally I hardly mentioned Wane and his ability I hardly commented on him at all, but if you want my thoughts I feel working with a coach who approaches the game like Madge will see his development complete to make the transition to be a top class coach who will be ready to take the reins at Wigan once Madge returns to Australia.

Quote: St pete "Not going to get in a heated debate, inside man can see im not bagging wane but saying calm down it's only two games.

Im not going to fall out with you, so go put your wigan pjs on, put your wigan slippers on, have a hot milky drink in your wigan mug, get in your bed with your wigan duvet, in your bedroom with wigan wallpaper and have a nice wet dream of you and wane together as madge watches on.
Well you obviously are!

Why can't you see that the Wigan fans have seen what Wane has done at this club in a coaching Role for the last 5 years or so?

We all know he could do with a bit more experience and now he's getting it.

Do you agree with the Wigan fans that given the difficult circumstances he was left in and after the loss to Wire he needed to get the team to respond well?

Do you agree that he has done that in Marges Absence (See, I see what you did earlier but your not here winding people up are you?) and really could not have guided the team to produce 2 more stunning victories than he has?

If so, we all get your point about not getting carried away, why don't you get ours and go away?

icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif Ive not said he ain't done good stuff for wigan, ive never said a bad word about him!

He even worked for same company as me and got some good funny stories about him, as ive said, he is wigan thru and thru.

How can a comment about getting a little giddy turn into a full on war? icon_lol.gif
