Stop getting excited, Briers has scored similar tries when he was younger. I remember a sensational hat-trick in a chellenge cup semi. Tomkins is world class but there is no need to make stuff up to try and point score. |

Tomkins will be twice the player Briers could ever dream of being simply because of the fact that he can tackle and has pace. And after the GBH attempt he bounced back from in the first half he has the bottle to cope with life at the top level as well.

Well it's good that someone's actually read that report. I doubt there'll be too many others who will.
But seriously, we've heard all week how superb it is for Cas that Rangi Chase has re-signed. We also had Stevo singing his praises tonight (no mention then, notice, about how much better it is to grow your own). And yet all Wigan's tries were scored by our two half-backs. Not what you'd call a dominant performance.
Chase can make play but, like Lee Briers, there isn't much sign of him in defence. |
