No we didnt, thats what it would have gone over as the league never accepted that contracts were changed. We never actually were charged for that we were charged for breaking the spirit of the cap.

The club's argument was based on the fact that nine of their players agreed to defer wages for last September, October and November in returned for improved contracts in 2007.

However, the panel said that was against the spirit of the salary cap.

so in other words you cheated the system

we are not in aus and it still cost you a 4 point deduction to go along with the 2 points from the previous season for salary cap breach

we're not but its a given there so dont know why its not here. The RFL spit their dummy out and made an example as there was no rule against what we did. It did but hey ho least were world and SL champs eh.

point is its not a given here, just because you think it should be doesn't mean you can do as you like and get away with cheating, champs or not points deductions 2 years running should tell you that
