You could see when he kicked the last one from the touchline he was chuffed, shows it means a lot to him.

With Deacon on the coaching staff there is no reason why Josh cant be an 85%+ goalkicker.

As long as were not losing games through kicking I don't see a problem in josh continuing kicking its all a learning curve

I sat next to him on the flight back from Catalans - told him he needed to practice his kicking otherwise Sam would be doing that aswell - he nodded and Sam laughed.

Much better from Josh but I will hold judgement on his improvement until Friday. Yesterday was basically a glorified training match and Josh was relaxed and under no pressure. A closer game with a little more pressure and a little more at stake with the kicks will allow a better test of if Josh's kicking has improved.

Going off Monday night Josh seems to have been working hard on getting his eye in, so although it’s not a good idea to chop-and-change during a game, I think when Pat comes back Josh should step up if at any time Pat needs a bit of R&R. Josh should keep it up anyway now he seems to be getting the hang of it. Fingers crossed.

If he's fit enough to be playing he should be fit enough to kick goals.

If he isn't then we'll have rushed him back and he probably shouldn't be playing.

I'm sure this was the way that Frano Botica practiced before he came to Wigan as he looked to give himself a chance to break into the team.

Was certainly a lot better on monday night. Seemed to take longer in his prep and has stopped swinging his leg like he is kicking a football! Long may it continue

Didn't feel quite as nervous watching him kick this time. Hope he keeps it up for tonight.
