Aye, but i reckon there will be a few on this forum who remember such experiences as the norm, standing on the terraces of various rugby league clubs in gloves hats and scarves, holding a flask of coffee or soup( too bloody cold for a beer) and stamping your feet to keep the blood circulating.
Standing at the top of the hill at the old Odsall springs to mind.
Anyway, hope to see plenty of you there for what should be a good warm up (no pun intended) game for the forthcoming season.

from what i heard on the news they (hkr) are talking of winning the league, cc and grand final next year so bet yer boots it'll be £18 to get in... !

I was just joking, it is a pre-season hit out that means nothing and just a good way to have a look at new players and see which number you want on your shirt!!!

You can all purchase East Stand tickets online which would make it warmer and dryer for you! I would imagine this will be our first hit out before we play Featherstone and Hull before the start of the season.

With all our new signings it should be a good test for Wigan to blow off the cobwebs and really try some of the stuff they've done in training against a well drilled outfit that has been working on their defence a great deal (if our coach is to be believed).

If you're really bothered about the cold I'm sure the club will be doing some cheap deals to watch the game from inside with a nice warm meal!!

Nick, do you know if the stand behind the sticks will be open (our traditional away end)?

It depends on whether work on the new 6 million + North stand has begun on schedule in January, if it has then it may be a case of standing at the south side.
In such circumstances and depending on how many fans are expected to turn up for the freindly, it might be possible that the club considers allowing some Wigan fans to stand in a section of the east stand alongside the Kr fans, anyway, whatever else happens lets just hope for all our sakes we're not completely covered in snow that day.
