| I think its premature to write Goulding off based on the St. George and Hull games but the Hull game certainly showed we don't have the option of kicking to his wing on the last tackle. We tried it several times and he was out jumped each time.
If opposition teams target him with high kicks he will need the protection of his centre and so providing we have the tactics sorted out to cope there is no reason why he can't be an effective player for us. Mind you I said pretty much the same thing about Ainscough and look what happened there.

| Agree with the first post, iv said this all along, he was very lucky to play in a championship winning team last year outside a world class . He was kicked too twice yesterday and made a meal of them both, he had 2 chances in the first half, one of which he dropped with the line open in front of him. Teams are beginning to target him as he gets sucked in too easily in defence and is very poor under a high ball. He's a very average winger, Ade Gardner syndrome last season, average winger in a very good side.

| He had a solid game, won two or three penalty's with his scoots by catching the markers offside. Think the sun in his eye's may have contributed to the Briscoe try but i do agree he is not really an option for our attacking kicks.

bang on mate we cant make excuses for him week in week out, cant blame him fully as for me leuluai is one of the worst kickers ive ever seen him, for me the one of the reasons deacon was signed was teach him and sam a kicking game. dont no the stats but how many times did we have consective set of six, there fullback could of had a pint in there hand the kicks where that rubbish.

Exactly, he seems to be the new blue eyed boy that can do no wrong, amybe its because hes a Wigan lad and people want to stick up for him. He's a decent squad player for back up when we have got injuries and we have no other option at the moment, but long term he definately doesnt get in my 13 or even 17.

| ahh another scapegoat.
We played Marsh and Goulding on one side - no wonder that side was targetted.Against St George they knew Gleeson wasn't fit so targetted that side (and when you have players like they did why not).
Why is it there always seems to be one player who becomes the team blame attractor, before it was Karl Pryce (not here so must be someone else to blame) or before that Mathers etc etc no matter how well or even average they do they are still doing no right.
Goudling isn't perfect and makes mistakes all players do (ok except maybe Sam T who can seem to do no wrong sometimes). Tomkins (J) getting sent off certainly didn't help the cause.

| can't knock the guy for effort and he is more than likely a cheap option for us but i cannot see him ever being anything more than an average player. If and when we ever get everyone back fit he will not be in the 17 for me. I can see him moving on to one of the lesser teams like salford or hull in the not to distant future and his squad place taken by one of the younger lads coming through, for example charnley who offers just as much to the team already and who i think will also improve as a player if he is given a run in the side.

he does his job better than most people on the park.
marsh was the problem against hull, he was way way to hesitant and actually ran away from a attacker at one point. this coupled with joel just inside is why goulding gets left on his own against 3 players.'"
Got to agree ref Marsh. He's not up to it yet and imo opinion will struggle. Nothing wrong with Goulding.

I wasnt blaming him for anything in particular, in my opinion he is a very average winger in a good team.

Against St George he was up against one of the best centre wing combinations in the world. He is still learning.
