| Quote Steve Ella's Beard="Steve Ella's Beard"Bradford played well in the second half just as we'd dropped off the pace. All credit to them they fired themselves up, stuck with it and got the win. From our perspective we should have killed the game off earlier, had plenty of chances and also wasted some good field position at times with forcing the pass or conceding penalties. Thought our kicking game was poor 2nd half, baffled why Sam didn't go for touch and instead it went dead in goal for the 20m restart with a few minutes left - shows inexperience. Amos will be kicking himself for losing the ball on the kick return at the end, and it's a shame as he'd been having a really good game again.
Like you said though Jonh, better to lose now and learn from it. I can imagine Maguire and Wane will not be happy with some of the stuff 2nd half.'"
Personally felt it was the right call. We were fully set as a defence and ready for the return tap 20. The end of the set we had them in our hands a poor kick fell to Amos who made good yards and sadly for us on contact the rest is history. We should never have been in that position in the first place though.
For me 2 changes next week.
Goulding had a great 10 minutes but other than that was anonymous so if Phelps is fit he has to come in but if he is not Pryce needs to be given a shot on the wing. Secondly Bailey was asked some major questions and failed the test, Mossop needs to come back into the team at his expense.

A fair assessment I think.

| Quote Steve Ella's Beard="Steve Ella's Beard"The team's playing far better than it did under Noble, so why not? Or are you naive enough to think a poor 2nd half performance makes us suddenly no threat to your oh so mighty leeds?'"
It looks like the team is playing better under Maguire because your actually top of the league at the start of the season. Wakefield were at the top of the league and there not exactly Grand Final contenders are there?
I was as shocked as anyone when Bradford won that match. Wigan are not a poor team but will not have the consistency and class to keep up with Leeds and St Helens at the end of the season IMO.
What’s shocked me even more is the Leeds score

Not a chance for me.Feka makes things happen and had a good game tonight, O'Carroll for me was again superb, think Prescott needs to improve in a big way to get back in the team.
If there is a better Prop than Coley at the moment in the league i have yet to see one.

We killed ourselves near the end. Richards was stupid blocking Crookes near the end he gave them the field position that they was'nt going to gain on themselves.
Bailey missed a few tackles tonight and didnt really make any impression on the game so i agree Mossop needs to come back in.
I also feel Feka ran better tonight much improved after some critisism.

I think consistency will come on with time. And we were 4 points away from the grand final last season, and also put you out of the challenge cup, only to have a crap 20 minute spell against wire. Don't try and suggest there's a big gulf between Leeds Wire Saints Wigan, because quite simply that's not the case. Two of those 4 are up there and have been for a while, 2 are on the rise and finding their feet, but there's little between any of them when they all play to their best.
And you're surprised at a poor quins side that's =#FF0040decimated by injuries getting stuffed by you?

Coley has been great so far this year but he gave away a few silly penaltys during the game and he needs to cut them out. Him and Bailey are the biggest culprits for it. But like i said Coley has been immense so far.

| My take on the game.
First half we did what we had to do built up a good lead.
Second half we came out complacent and lackadaisical, we went away from the good things we were doing and Bradford rose to the challenge.
Even though we lost, I'm still encouraged because we got into a winning position quite easily and in the end threw it away.
If this game does anything, I hope that it causes the players to play the full 80 from now and not switch off regardless of the scoreline.

Wigan of the 80s where a prime example of what consistency means. Something I’m sure will never be matched. However back to the now and its all about Leeds and St Helens.
How long has these two been in the top two?
Wigan coming third to Leeds and Saints in the play offs there’s still a gulf. One off games in the season and challenge cup then anyone’s for the taking really. Hats off to that
