This doesn't bode well, I'm pretty sure they all finished the game though.

Aye just looked at the wigan site and Noble said he may well not be available for Friday. I'd be radical and play Shaun Ainscough on the wing if this is the case.

Well Noble earned a Brownie point by dropping Coley. Can he earn another by playing Ainscough if Phelps is injured with a hamstring?
It would be ironic if injuries and suspensions delivered us a side selected as many of us would like e.g.
Riddell injured forces TL and McIllorum to be the hookers so we get Sam T in the team at 6 and Smith at 7.
Mathers suspended means we get Roberts or Richards at full back.
Phelps out puts Ainscough on the wing.
But seriously everyone was banging on about the depth of the squad so injuries to those players ought not to be a problem.
Dave

This indeed will be interesting in the lead up to the next game, hopefully the changes you outline will happen.

I only wish is that Noble isn't available on Friday. Congratulations to Matthew Elliot on building a great side at Bradford though.

100% Hull FC -part of thebrotherhood of Rugby League, The Best Game in the World to watch.: |
|
| The team I saw tonight wasn't like the old Wigan. To be honest, the more I watched the game, the more I thought that Brian seems to be trying to change Wigan into another Bradford!!
Last season Sean O' looked a lot like Stan Laurel (ask your granma/dad) but tonight he was more like Oliver Hardy. He's bulked your team up so much that they're too fat to get up quickly....with a better ref who plays to the rules more that Bentham did tonight....your team will concede more penalties than enough. Also, looks as if they want to go into the wrestling lark!! My team won tonight, and of course I'm happy that we've got away to a win this season but I like to see fast, entertaining rugby and the way Noble is turning Wigan into another Bradford, I can understand if the owner is looking to change coach before the season is much older.
Thanks to all the fans who made the journey over the Pennines, and hope you all got home safe........grannyfan Cindy

| Lets not forget that this time last year Saints were enjoying a very poor start to the season.

| He cut a strange figure before the match where he stood for a good 10 minutes watching Hull warm up, he only briefly sauntered across to where his own team were preparing but still didn't take his eyes of Hull. It looked odd and it's not something i've seen any other coach do, It's as if he was staring someone out . Surely he'd have been better served working on his own teams preparations???

But why would he want to break the habit of a lifetime?

Is that his normal routine?

| Distancing himself from the team, and a generaly "hands-off" approach to coaching seems to be his normal routine.

| What can Noble do with a team that is severely weakened? Lets actually be honest with ourselves, the current Wigan team is dire. So what do you expect? Noble can only use what he has, and he hasn't got very much.
