| Wigan never sell out if their allocation according to a poster on the Saints board. Well that's 2 out of 2 now which isn't bad considering we get a quarter of the whole stadium.
Should be a cracking atmosphere.

Correct its OUR stadium. Remind me again.... how times have you been kicked out of that stadium you rent? Also, its good that theres no wedding taking place on GF as we would need to shut a whole stand. Oh dear

You know what, if we win tomorrow I don't think I'll be able to celebrate the win because deep down inside I know that we don't own our own ground with cladding. Jog on.

Once, and how many times did you have to play at Widnes.

| Some number above 14. Although our last nomadic trip to Widnes provided Wigan with that great stumbling block of Saints in the playoffs, so we can't say that our year on the road was all bad.

| How did that play off series turn out for Saints again?
Another bottle job in a very long line of bottle jobs. Saying that even those have dried up now and have been replaced with the highlight of your season (going off last years example) being a scrappy victory against Wigans second team at home.
Glory days.

Haha. You're getting quite touchy this week aren't you? Are you not coping well with us being a big contender again? Embrace it mate, chill out.

In answer to your question we faired a little better than Wigan did. Of course as the title holders this year you are welcome to brag.
You have approximately 6 more months to use that right so enjoy it whilst it lasts. I'm doubt many Saints fans would argue that we where in the running last year, but if you look over more than just the short term, I can comfort myself slightly with the fact that our lean years have been limited to a drop to the top 5 and skimmishes with the eventual title holders in the Grand finals.
Now remind us all how those lean years worked out for Wigan? Or are they too far back to recall.

Banter!
Did you see my post yesterday where I said its great to have a derby where the teams are even and you couldn't call one team or other the dominant force? Well that is then what enables that banter to get going again after years of one set of supporters or the other keeping their head down until the derby was out of the way.
I'm embracing that wholeheartedly and it feels good to have it back at that level.
Tomorrow will be like the old days.

Haha. You talk as though we have been lost in the wilderness for 25 years. Admittedly we've had a rough few years but we've never been far off.

You've been pretty ordinary for 4 years and we were even worse for about 6 years before that.
10 years is a long while in my book to wait for a derby where both teams go in pretty level in the quality stakes and both have about an even shot of winning a trophy.

Problem is are we even. Even if we lose tomorrow it will mean little for when it matters. Have we been going through the motions as we did towards the back end of the last rounds of SL. This is the problem with SL 10 years ago derbys mattered for higher finishing in SL. Now it does not. Wane proved that when he fielded that weaker side last season at Saints.
If Saints or us finish 8th i would bet on it that one of us would make the Grand Final considering the standard in SL now. Week in week out SL is bloody boring now.
Wake me up when September starts.

| The wind is picking up over this side of the hill, let's hope they've fixed that prefab roof at Trailer Park.

I agree it's been a while since the Good Friday derby has felt as big as this. Exciting stuff, can't wait for tomorrow.
