Don’t know what people were hoping for really?
Personally I was hoping for
- a big effort ( I think the effort was there)
And a couple of stand out performances from our young guys (thought Shorrocks, KPP and Havard had great games)
O’Neill had a decent showing.
Clark and Bullock as our senior props are pathetic.
Bateman, Farrell, Hastings, Hardaker and hopefully Gildart back and I expect us to at least compete with Wire.

We weren't as bad as the previous two weeks. The effort was there and if we had a couple more regulars, I think we'd have won. |

I can only tip my hat to the young forwards. A big effort tonight and being flogged to death by Lam. In fairness to Lam when Clark is as poor as he was tonight and Bullock looks as unenthusiastic as he does, it’s difficult to really go too hard at him. In the long run though I’d rather save the young forwards from over exposure and let the likes of Bullock and Clark just do their thing.

Definitely an improvement on the past two matches.
We could have won because one of their tries was due to the bounce of the ball and the other from a poor Powell kick and bad chase.
It was worth watching the game just for Havard’s break alone.

I can't for the life of me see why we just don't buy a prop? We know we've got cap space as Lam spoke about a mid season addition to the side.
Not only is it having a negative impact on this season, it's also potentially going to be detrimental to the young lads going forward. |
