The stadium was owned by Wigan Athletic Holdings as was the training ground. The club was owned by Wigan Athletic FC Ltd. It was done so that the assets could never be taken from WAFC should they go bust.
No monies from the stadium were ever paid to the football club they all went to the holdings company which was basically Whelco DW's family business. |

What are you on about, I was only making the point that we do not have a stadium of our own thanks to our Council not helping the club in the same way that the Councils of St Helens and Warrington helped their clubs to find sites and grant planning permission for their Stadiums to be built.
Nothing to do with how you stood at Central Park! |
