| Quote Timmy the Koi="Timmy the Koi"Wigan fans in "our club is bigger than International RL shocker"... As has been said, had he not gone in with the knees, then he would have injured himself. I'm not sure what you guys want? Tommy is one of the most passionate players in RL, and never takes a backward step. Given the chance to play a representative game for the "Southern Hemisphere" he'd take it every time. That's the attitude of the Southern Hemisphere players...loyalty and honour. I you game them a game of tiddlywinks against an English side they would want to smash us. THAT is what makes them successful....Desire and passion rather than apathy and small mindedness. Our international success will never materialise as long as we look upon these games as pointless. Get well soon Tommy, we need the strongest Wire v Wigan finals we can have.'"
I think you're letting parochialism take over there, what do you expect on a Wigan forum other than anger at a key player being injured in a quasi-international game? If M Monaghan, for instance, had played and been injured you'd be just as put out as we are.

| I feel for Leuluai as he's a player i have a ton of respect for and i can understand Wigan fans being upset at his loss which looks like it could be season ending. However the ones calling for the game to now be scrapped because of this and hinting at compensation and saying the game was meaningless, remember the anger shown by Wigan fans when Goulding and McIlorum didn't get picked to play in this 'meaningless' match. Even though he'll be in the NRL next year you can bet if you asked Leuluai if he wants the Exiles game to continue on he'd say 100% yes.

You are being rather selective in your reading of views. True that Wigan fans were annoyed at the exclusion of certain players, but that was coupled with the fact that the whole selection of the England team was a joke. The "joke" has resulted in us losing a key player. I'm sure if you had lost a player through injury in this game, you would feel the same. So please don't come here taking some kind of moral high ground. You hve failed.
EDIT. just looked, you are a Leeds fan... Speaks volumes.

| Quote hatty="hatty"I disagree, we are constantly stating that we will never catch Australia because there are too many foreigners playing in super league yet here we are promoting a team of foreigners!! We need a better concept than this "exiles" farce because that game yesterday had anything but intensity or passion. The locker cup had more passion than what was on show yesterday. I think we need to work more on the lancs/York game more at least then the fans can show some passion which may rub off on the players'"
Probably a fair shout. There would be a bit more passion from fans etc. Is there enough talent though? Let's have a crack. Feel free to help.
Lancashire

To be fair, I think that would be quite competitive, long gone are the days we have to pick championship players.

There was no "anger" about Goulding and McIlorum's omissions, just comment on McBananas England selection policy.
And as to Tommy saying "yes" to the exiles game continuing I doubt he cares one way or the other. On the other hand If you asked him that with hindsight he would prefer to have played in this game but as a result perhaps miss out on further club honours with Wigan you know the answer.
Players are like everyone else "It won't happen to me" is the attitude and what players want to do does't always coincide with their interests of their employer, their club. In that regard given we have lost TL there is no way Finch should be allowed near the next game whether he wants to play or not.

| Gutted for Tommy, what a rubbish way to end his excellent Wigan career if it does turn out to be season ending. What do people think are our halfback options now. We've basically got:
1. Sam
6. Lockers
7. Finch
1. Sam
6. Mellor
7. Finch
1. Sam
6. Finch
7. Powell
1. Russell
6. Sam
7. Finch
Which would people rather see? There could also be the option of paying the fee for Chase and bringing him now.

No i'd be disappointed if a Leeds player got injured, which for a second i thought Hall did in the same collision, but i wouldn't call for the game to be scrapped as a result. I admit many Leeds fan would react differently to me, but i'm not trying to make it out to be some Leeds/Wigan thing like you are Sir and that fans of other clubs would be any different. I also wrote ''THE ONES (not everyone) who are calling for the game to be scrapped'' which indicates that yes i was being selective about some views but i didn't hide that and didn't claim all Wigan fans are thinking the same thing. Your OTT reaction to a well made and grown up point shows you have failed and speaks volumes about you as a person regardless of what team you support.
