| I'd go for Gregory over Edwards simply because as an opposition fan when Gregory was on song he was totally unbeatable, he scared the living daylights out of defences with his passing game and when he chose to run he could step anyone. A tough nut and a real competitor.
Edwards was more consistent but I don't think he sclaed the heights Gregory did, particularly at test level.
I'd take Hanley over Farrell. Both great players but Hanley could do things that most players only dream about. To score 55 tries in a season for Bradford was the best since Boston and he backed that up by scoring 63 for Wigan the next year.
Kelvin Skerrett or Andy Platt?

| I know it was a fair few pages back but I have got to say that I cant believe someone though Faz was only here 5 years lol. The fact he was here 13 years is the reason the fans were so divided about him leaving as alot said that he had given us so long that he deserved our backing and some said the same as they did when people like Joel have left.

I think any SL team has to have Senior in at centre. As this is from 2001 and not 96 and your and Wigan fan I can understand why Richards is in it and Tomkins is at 6 and Barrett at 7 but my team would be:
1. Radlinski - Although Wellens is the most successful back in SL history Radlinski was the better player
2. Vainikolo - Try Scoring machine
3. Lyon - Classiest player ever to play in SL
4. Senior - Longevity and he is the top try scorer a must imo
5. Hall - Robinson would get the nod in a 96+ team but from 01 I think Hall is the best and imo the only argument for Richards would be his goal kicking.
6. McGuire - Gets the nod because he is a try scoring machine, not as creative as some but scores the tries instead of setting them up.
7. Long - Close call between him and Deacon but Long did it more often in the big games.
8. Fielden - A beast until Willie Mason floored him
9. Cunningham - Better than Lowes although Roby could be better in a few years
10. Graham - Morley has played his best stuff in the NRL so Graham gets the Nod
11. Peacock - Difficult to decide weather he gets in at Prop or 2nd Row but made his name in the 2nd row.
12. Farrell - Won the golden boot has to be in somewhere
13. Sculthorpe - Quality player simple as.

Out of the wingers I would only consider Albert and Richards alongside Hall, Robinson was playing rah rah at this point post 2001. I would consider Paul and Barrett but there is no way Pryce can be considered anywhere near as good as McGuire, because he is always injured and McGuires sheer volume of tries (he could well over take Senior this season as SL top try scorer, he is already Rhinos top try scorer) Paul was considered but was like robinson playing union in 2001 he would be my all time SL stand off though I think. At the risk of being banned from this site I think Barrett was not the player Wigan fans think he was. Good - yes. Amazing - no. We all have rose tinted glasses which is why I think Sinfield should be knighted and others think he just a goal kicker!!

you obviously didnt watch Trent play. Dallas was better than Albert too. Class act. McGuire is a support player its why he scores so many. Sinfield is just a goal kicker....

I disagree on the Dallas/Albert issue completely and obviously did not see Barrett play as often as you did but I dont think he was the messiah he is being made out to be. The comment about McGuire I feel is quite derogatory saying he is a support player, if that was so easy then every other half would score as many as he has. Im not going to even dignify the Sir Kevin comment with an answer.
