It takes a big man to admit that he's wrong, but his judgement is still in question. What evidence he had to write us off so early in the season I can't imagine.
It was a very bad call for a bloke who's supposed to know about the game. |

Too be fair most sporting pundits have zero idea, they only have a voice as they are former players, (schofield, alan hanson) or media types (eddie). |

How anyone can ever write any one off who have been at the top of the table all season is beyond me. i can understand him not wanting wigan to win, but to say it wont happen is a bit silly.

There was a rumour back in the mid-90s that Schofield's agent was trying to get him to sign for Wigan, but that Wigan weren't interested.
Don't know whether that's true or not, but if so, it might explain some of the hostility he's shown to us in the years since. |

Gary actually holds a lot of resentment towards Leeds for this situation. We were after him and gave him a massive offer he turned us down to remain at Leeds for less cash and the promise of future opportunities that never came.
I actually feel sorry for him in that respect he could have been remembered as a legend of the game had he joined us when he had the chance. |

Let's wait and see what he predicts for us next year.
He predicted a 6th place finish (I think) this year, tipped us to mess up being in 1st towards the end of the year, tipped us to crash out of the playoffs and to lose the GF.
On that form, let's hope he predicts we'll flop out of the cup at the first opportunity  |

At least "big fat gary schofield" admitted on Twitter we deserved it.
Its no surprise his original prediction, Wigan stopped him every really winning much as a player, as such he is as bitter as Hemmings & Kear.

Before we throw too much criticism his way for his predictions, how many of us on here can dig up early season posts which imply that we're nailed on for Grand Final glory!.
Most of us were expecting top four, and we would have been OK with that. A Grand Final appearance was to be a bonus.
...not that I hold a great deal of respect for Gary Schofield's opinions, the bitter *&(&*
