I would agree entirely. Besides, what's with all this 'your biggest game of the year' stuff anyway? Ask SL coaches and I guarantee that 100% of them will say that their [inext [/igame is their biggest game of the year.

It was a Wire fan who brought it up by thinking he could be smart and cute!

| Think a few maybe underestimating the Wire for next week.
Yes, we should be feeling confident about the start we have made, but this is a massive test.
Smith is a good motivator, and Wire will be up for this one; Wigan at their place, one of the biggest games of the season for both clubs.
I haven't seen either the Carvell or Morley incidents, but to be honest, if one or both of them were ruled out for our match, it'd be a massive boost. I'm confident our outside backs can out perform those of Warrington, but this match is going to be won up the middle of the park by the team whose pack dominate.
I think we trump them in the back row, but as ever, we're relying on a big performance from our props next week.
If we can handle the threat of Briers and match them in the pack, then I think we can take the 2 points, but it's going to be difficult.
Can't wait for this one.

| Quote Jukesays="Jukesays"And Man City may get "Lucky" this year and win one? It still doesn't change anything, you'll always live in the shadow of Wigan! Just like City live in UTD's Shadow
As for Saints being the biggest game of the season
everyone knows when they play Wigan it's their biggest game of the Year!'"
City will live in Utd's shadow all the time Utd keep winning trophies. So how does that make Wire live in your shadow ? Correct me if I'm wrong but Wigan haven't won a competitive trophy since 2002 ?
Further to that, Wire own their own stadium. They don't have to rent space from the towns main sporting team, Wigan Athletic. They also have a very rich owner in Simon Moran who isn't scared to reach for the cheque book when required. You have Ian Lenagan.
Never let be said that Wigan fans are living on past glories when they were the only full time club in Rugby League and won trophies.

| Going back to what was said previously, If Carvell & Morley don't play then it will be an altogether different game than if they do take the field.
I'm pretty sure that if both or either were playing for Cas they'd miss next week.
Leeds and Wire seem to lead a charmed life with the refs and disciplinary people.

Because UTD are a bigger club than City whether their winning trophies or not? They were bigger than City in the 70's & 80's when they didn't win a Great deal.
Liverpool are bigger than Everton for the Same reasons.
And just as the Earth Circles the Sun, Wigan will always be bigger than Warrington, It's the natural order of things!

Stop talking sense, this is the Wigan board.
Having watched your performance on Friday evening on Sky it looks like your defense has improved massively under your new coach. So the game should be very even and should make a great spectacle for both sets of supporters and the neutral.
You may well be in for your first competitive victory at the HJ next Saturday, but the seasons a marathon, not a sprint. I'm sure, should you win, the normal Goons on this board will be proclaiming it will be the Year of the Pie etc.

I'm guessing a few Wigan fans reading your stupid posts will be cringing at the thought that you could possibly get beaten next Saturday. Making such silly statements could come back and bite you badly, just like they did after the semi final last season.
Now get your head out of the 80's and face the reality that your not famous anymore. Its you that lives in a shadow...... the shadow of your towns big club and land lord, Wigan Athletic.
