The challenge cup is still massive but only when you get to the semi-final really.

Lets hope the Leeds players are of the same low opinion of the Challenge Cup on Saturday.

But "greater achievement" and "greater prize" aren't the same thing.
IMO the league is the greater [iachievement[/i, as it rewards performances over 27 games, not just a few. Deciding which is the greater [iprize[/i is partly media-led and partly prize money related - both of which are largely influenced by SKY, who do a wonderful job in ignoring the CC competition.
(Incidentally, to pre-empt some criticism, I've always held that opinion, not just because we're currently league leaders!)

The greatest achievement surely has to be the hub cap, but is the least recognised - financially and status wise. (i.e. The best team over the course of the season) as opposed to two seperate competions (CC - 5 games to win), (GF 3-4 games to win).

Not anyone elses ey?

Quote: Wigan/Leeds Andy " The Challenge Cup is like the old Yorkshire/Lancashire cups, if you win it fine and yes as with any winner you celebrate it, but as long as you win the big one who really gives a 5h1t. Â And that is basically what it means to us.'"

BUT if it was a choice between the CC and winning 4 in a row then it's simple. GF wins everytime.'"

Thanks for going to all that trouble to prove my point.
You said only in my mind is the gf a bigger prize than the cc.
a few agree with me. you moved away from the point I made and said that winning both is an a prefered option? Do ya think! If you have a point it's lost on me.

Jebus wept.
I basically said you were posting like it was a choice between winning the CC or GF - NOT which was the bigger prize. Capice?

My honest opinion is the harder the comp gets the tougher it is to win both. The next team that does needs huge respect!
