Desperately poor today - it was embarrassing the apparent lack of effort and ideas at times - a complete contrast to Barrow who clearly wanted the win more and would have deserved it in all honesty considering the enthusiasm shown. Some of their players really put themselves in the shop window and it was only for a slight lack of composure / discipline / fitness in other areas of the team that they ultimately came up short. For 60 minutes it was extremely difficult to tell which was the SL club and which was the Championship club. Credit to Barrow, but disappointing from Wigan.
Barrow were made to look far too dangerous in attack by poor defence today and as a result I'm not looking forward to Thursday at all.

I'm sure Ainscough scored four and Carmont just got the one. I know it's reported on the official website as Carmont twice but, I'm sure Ainscough got four. Three in the first half and one in the second. It was a one on one steal by Hansen and Ainscough touched it down. I was right at the front of the stand. |

Daz could be going on loan and then the beginning of next season after george's contract has expired and he's left, him and gleeson will be our centres.
p.s. i've not jumped on the 'i think pryce is s**t bandwagon' because he has some good potential and he's only played 4 games for us.

I have heard that Goulding has been told that he either goes to Salford on loan for the rest of the year or he sits in the reserves.
He was told after the Barrow game - he will not play 1st team again this year!!

Goulding has the right attutide, he has been given another chance and will knuckle down to improve on his weaknesses. |
