True. They did exactly the same last year when they wasted a win at Wigan by losing to Catalan a week later. If they'd have won v Catalan last year, they'd have had a fair shot at us for first place but it cost them dear. They had a big chance to put massive pressure on us over the next few weeks and have wasted it.

Also every time we beat a champions (or champions elect) Leeds side under Noble (which happened a few times in the regular rounds), we always lost the next week, everytime!. Show's a bit of a weakness that.

It's up to us though. We now have to turn the screw on Friday and not just beat Catalan but hammer them!

Just goes to show that the table doesn't actually mean anything until the end of the regular season. Going to be a tight league this year I think. I doubt we'll see one team lead from start to finish like in 2010

To win the Grand Final that tean needs to turn in 3 big performances inside 3 weeks. To do that you need to be prepared to play every game. This is where for me Wire do struggle a bit. Last season they could turn in a big performance but not follow it up the next week. For me thats the reason so far Wire have not made that much progress in the play offs.

Whilst for the Challenge cup you can prepare players for it by resting them in the league. I still think Wire will win the Challenge Cup but struggle in the play offs. The cup structure suites them. Though to lose to the Catalans after turning us over as they did shows that beating us for them was as last season a major achievement and they treated Catalans with some disrespect by resting players last season. 2 points is 2 points regardless of who you beat.

Very encouraging IMO that we've not played anywhere near to our potential in SL this year, yet were only 2 points of top with a game in hand. Were clearly going through a tough time at the moment yet all things considered we've picked up ten of a possible 14 pints all while not playing particularly well.
