Too true.
Why not be happy when rivals get beat? If we win next week and wire lose then I will be chuffed because we will have pulled it back a little.

I think to be honest, it was the length and style of the celebrations which have caused the raised eyebrows.
Personally, I can fully understand the elation of coming back from so far behind, against a good Leeds side, and the initial celebrations are fully warranted....I must admit though, that the continued celebrations for several minutes after the equalising kick did look a little OTT.
Countering that though, sport can bring out people's emotions in a funny way, can't it?

| Best thread for a while this. Utter crap from some supporters who wants to come on here and knock Wigan fans. If any supporter from any team would not be happy to come from 18 points down with 15 minutes to go then your either Victor Meldrew or Dot Cotton. Yes we thought We would win but we got a going over by a good Leeds performance, added to that we were crap. And please do remember were still 5th with a game in hand on Saints, as with Leeds have 4-5 first choice players yet to come into the team. What last night showed was that we are the fittest team in SL. And come October when every game is played with more intensity will suite us. As with last seasons play offs we got better with each game. No trophy in SL is handed out in March or April.

Great game though, thoroughly enjoyed it.'"
We have started this season better than we did last season.

| I really couldnt give a plop what other fans think about ours celebrating scraping a point. The fact they are on here bleating about it speaks volumes
The more people hate us the better imo, we arent here to make friends we are here to win trophies.

I think it's called supporting your team.
I'm not sure it's really that contoversial.
In 2006, Wiganers turned up in their thousands to support a team that, up until half way through was losing every week.
From some of the posts we've seen on here today, I dread to imagine the vast empty terraces at Leeds, Saints and Warrington should they be in a similar position.

Really, Leeds are the ones who should be ashamed for letting what was such a massive game for them slip away.'"
You don't understand rugby do you son? Wigan weren't off form, they just weren't allowed to play against a far superior team on the night. I always thought that the honeymoon period with Maguire wouldn't last too long as on paper Wigans team is average. Silly people writing Leeds off. And the only wembley for Leeds is wembley itself or old trafford don't flatter yourself and think you're more thought of than you actually are.

Yes we are, and if you're only level with us when we're off form, you had better hope we don't get on form!

Not only was the reaction of your team and your crowd on Friday night proof that Wigan's visit was your Wembley. The reaction of people like you afterwards is also proof.
No-one gets this upset about a result unless it was a game they really, really, really wanted to win, and really fancied their chances for.
The trouble is that wanting to be as good as Wigan isn't enough. I think you're all now realising that your last couple of titles were won in the interim period between the decline of one genuine RL power - St Helens, and the rise of the next one, Wigan. Hetherington has certainly realised that, hence his transformation over the last year from magnamimous lord of the manor to surly, petty, bitchy little whiner (oh, and number one house-caller at the RFL).
Sinfield's face said it all at the end of the game on Friday: "How did we not win that? We gave it everything we had, and by their own standards they were rubbish, but they still had more than enough in the tank to do us at the death."
But overall, Sinfield is not too bad a bloke. It's the rest of you - you're not handling your fall from grace in a manly fashion.

| Some guy walked past at the end with three fingers in the air shouting about their three wins in a row. Unfortunately being normal and not interbred like large parts of Yorkshire, I didn't have enough fingers on my hand to show him how many we've won in a row.

I suggest you watch the game again, for the first 17 mins Wigan cut you to pieces then for some strange reason started forcing passes they didnt need to. Got their rugby heads back on back end of the second half and still had enough to get something out of the game. Hopefully the rest of the Leeds club think like you, that Wigan werent off form and just outplayed, because when our top form does return then watch out!!
