Great news when you factor in the Wiliams deal from last month as well.
Excellent step forward in regards to establishing some much needed continuity with the side.

Add Williams to the new deals for Davies and Marshall and the club are really laying the foundations for continued success. Lockers will be the icing on the cake! |

Last week. He accidentally tagged Wigan into a post, regards the playoffs 2017 if any team can make it a comeback it's the Wigan Warriors. He meant the Golden State Warriors (Basketball).
Since then he's posted a few Wigan RL comments. Obviously the club have contacted him to announce the contract extensions, fair play to him!  |

How much longer has he got left on his current contract and would he extend
I personally hope so as I think when fully fit and with the correct mindset,he is one of our most important and influential players

Yep, the way it's worded, seems like he will be NRL bound at the end of 2018 or possibly 2019. I suppose a 'loose canon/free spirit' is the best way to describe him and his personality and it remains to be seen if he could establish himself in the NRL without incident. If he carries on progressing, on the field, as he has done, it would be absolutely superb if we could tempt him with a longer and improved deal. |

I think if Bateman will go to the NRL,I've always thought that to be honest,if he has a good World Cup that'll seal the deal

The hope with Bateman staying is that he has a little girl who he seems very close to yet he's not with the mother. To leave her for 2 or 3 years may be too tough.
