No. Premier was only made available to Virgin Media customers just before the World Cup.

In the latest literature the Virgin sent through to me Premier Sports had been bundled together with the Sky Sports channels as opposed to BT and ESPN. It may well be that it becomes part of the Sky Sports premium package going forward rather than a stand alone channel. I seem to recall that was the basis of the dispute stopping Virgin showing Premier previously as Premier wanted to be part of a bundle to widen its potential viewing base so it could increase advertising revenue.

Why do you think I paid for the telly to go in there in the first place!?

I have been with Sky since the GB tour to Aus in 1992, mainly for the RL even though I watch all the top soccer matches, over the last few years I have come to be very disillusioned about how the prices keep going up.
In fact a couple of times in the last 3/4 years I have phoned Sky up and told them that I could not afford to keep up payments, after much pleading and being passed to and fro between press No1 then press No2 I have been given a reduction of about a tenner a month off for 3 month.
But when it was announced that Sky wasn't even interested in showing the World Cup and BT seemed to be grabbing a good share of the big soccer matches I cracked again and phoned Sky and told them the prices had got to be to much.

I was asked why, so I told him if Sky could not be bothered to show the RL World Cup (I mentioned that RL was my main interest) and that they seemed to be losing a lot of the big soccer games maybe it was time to leave.
The bloke from Sky without even trying to explain Sky's position said "you can have Sky Sports half price until April and when that deal runs out I should phone them again".

I have the feeling that Sky may be running scared.

Had it confirmed by Virginmedia(via twitter) that Premier sports will be 7.99 a month no matter what package you have. i am on the top one so not happy at all!

Same here im on the XL package and on that basis they will be getting kicked firmly into touch.

£7.99 per month for 8 NRL games every week and State of Origin. Absolute bargain.

Premier Sports are advertising on Facebook the price of £95 for twelve months which they say is a reduction of £30 from the normal price. Seems as though you have to take a contract for the full year so you can't pack it in when the rugby is over. At the moment it just seems to be one bleedin' ice hockey match after another.

Hmmm. £7.99 x 12 = £95.88. I'll leave that offer thanks
