I don't see any harm in a fan of Championship team who have had a few problems recently and are trying to drum up some supoort coming on here doing just that.
Without being nasty I'm not sure what your response is going to achieve?'"
Now, if they paid me £10 I might consider going to Leigh.................

If you think under 20's is a better standard then I'd recommend you watch a lot more of the Championship!
I know a few Wigan fans who watch us occasionally and I'm sure they'll agree that you'll be made more than welcome, as were those who came down to the friendly in January and joined us for a pint or two in the Goose pre-match.

| The U20's is NOT a better standard of competition. In fact apart from two or three games the better teams don't get tested. That's why the likes of Wigan are keen to get the young players out into Championship sides on dual reg.

Im not saying you wouldn't be made welcome.
Super league fans are already paying through the nose to go and watch away games this season, for example Widnes on Sunday is £20 a ticket, I just cant see people spending an extra £10 to watch a team they dont support, of course a few will but I bet your talking less than 100, maybe even 50.

I would say less than that, but you cant blame them for trying.

You sure about that?
If it gets 50 people extra going per game then it's worth it.Bearing in mind they're also canvassing Wire & Saints fans then I reckon they'll stand a good chance of doing so.
If it gets no-one coming along then at least they tried something.
My point is why the need for having a go at the club for at least trying something?

I don't want to cause an arguement, but you're U20's wern't a better standard when our only fit players stuck 40 on them were they?
For the Wigan fans that are RL fans too, you're most welcome, we enjoy the banter with your lot. You've also got some cracking young players on DR with us too.

Can you please point out were I have had a go at them for trying?
I have merely said that in my opinion, hardly anyone will take up the offer, because Super League prices are so high.

It depends on who is playing in the Under 20s at the time doesn't it, for example, you beat them with, what, 2 points was it last year?? Correct me if im wrong.
I appreciate what your doing and im in no way opposed to it, but, in my opinion with Super League prices being so high, I dont think people will go, not for £10.

| I understand your point of view 21-12.
Fans are ripped off, the offers there from Leigh, it's your choice if you take it or leave it.
justarugbyfan's going, mind you I am working on stealing him from you and turning him into a Lobbygobbler!
And any fan who goes watching their U20s is a good fan for me.
Fair play to you.

The problem is the Championship sides are usually made up mainly of players who haven't, or probably wont, reach SL standard, or, are older players seeing their careers out on a last payday, the games I watched on SKY last year were 'ok' entertainment but 'poor' quality (IMO).

| To be honest mate, other than the odd veteran player, you have a mixture of young players, players on DR and players who work outside playing. There are only a handful of players over say 32.

21-12
Without being nasty,it is only a few weeks ago that the Leigh team (who themselves had a few youngsters in) put 40 plus points on what was said to be the Wigan under 20s team.
Lets support one another, because after all we are all part of Wigan Metro.
