I agree with that TBH even though im not an existing season ticket holder. Im skint and ive got nowhere near as many responsibilities/bills/expenses that most fans will have so i suspect many may struggle to meet that deadline.

| I reckon the renewal deadline falls before the fixtures are released for the 2012 season? Which is a bit daft tbh.

| They normally extend the renewal deadline don't they? They surely will this time or else they may be disappointed with the numbers.
Do we not get a free challenge cup round 4 ticket (if it's round 4 we come in at) anymore? I actually hope not. It's costing some championship clubs a fortune. There should be cheap tickets but not free.

I read somewhere they are stopping the free challenge cup ticket now.

Good.
I noticed kids got free tickets for rounds 4,5 and 6 which is good but the small clubs need to be making money. Imagine if you were the chairman of a club averaging less then a 1000 fans and you draw Wigan. Back in the day you'd have been on for a windfall to help keep your club going yet over these past few years you'd get jack.
Another crazy RFL idea.

I used to think how many people went just because it was free? I reckon the people who actually turned up for games like Barrow at home last year would actually go anyway even if it was say a tenner for adults and free for kids. I didnt honestly see the point in the concept.

Exactly.
Even for free you only get the hardcore. If we drew York away for example we'd probably take 3000 or so with free tickets yet if we have to pay a tenner I'd still back us to take around 1500-1800 meaning York would be on for a mice earner.
I'd Gladys stick a tenner in any rugby league clubs pocket.

| i'll wait and get a half ST later.
1. i cant afford one after splashing out on every cup game and play off game , plus plenty league games (x2)
2. i'll prob miss first 3 or 4 games, so itts of no benefit.
next
theres still a massive hike between Junior and Adult, assuming you arnt a student.
Will they ever learn???
there are dozens of kids who drop off every year and are selective about games, sometimes even finding other things to do instead..purely because of the price hike.
IMO we should be copying schemes like they have at Stockport county..ie..a 16-21 ticket to keep kids attending when they no longer qualify for juniors.
the price is only slightly higher than a junior ticket, and by the time these kids reach 21 chances are they;ll be earning enough to afford a full adult ticket.
i notice we do have a 16-18 ticket, but no details on price etc,
needs sorting IMO ....these kids are the future

| just 1 question if anyone can help--my son is 4 + will turn 5 on the 2nd of feb,it says that juniors must be in the set age groups as of the 1st of feb so therefore would my son still get into games as under 5(free) as of course he will still be 4 on the 1st (i'll be 40 on the 2nd aswell woohoo)

The 16-18 price is listed as a concession and costs the same as a student one.

As long as you have a full paying adult season ticket as well then your 4 year old will (just about) be eligible for the under 5 season ticket.

27588.gif "Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.:27588.gif |

| Just reading about the new incentive where if you are a season ticket holder and get someone else who is new to get one you can get nearly £50 quid of your st. And if you can somehow manage to get 5 new season ticket holders onboard you get yours free! Hopefully something like this can get even more bums on seats! Seems like a great idea.

Take-up will be low IMO to be honest...
How many people know 5 none-ST holders that they can persuade to shell out £200? Certainly not me.
Not a bad idea but don't see it being a roaring success
