| Encouraging signs for a new one year deal. Always been a big fan of O'carroll.

| fantastic performance considering how long he's been out of action, i thought when he first came on a few of the lads were looking after him like prescott, he took a lot of carries up instead of ocarroll, but i think once ocarroll felt confident he started bursting through tackles and making really making good yards per carry.

| Contract extension from tonights performance alone! And tbh I dont think the club would have stuck by him so well if they werent going to at least give him a chance. Didnt put a foot wrong tonight.

2572.jpg Ah, good taste!
What a dreadful thing!
Taste is the enemy of creativeness.

| nice to see him come back and add the depth to the front row.
as ever, he carries the ball well and makes decent yards.
but his conditioning is awful ! and he really stood out compared to the others.
i would give him a 1 year extension but tbh he reminds me a lot neil baynes, who i always enjoyed watching for the same reasons. short, stocky, great attitude, never stops trying ..... but in modern RL a good biggun will always beat a good little un.
eo'c will be overtaken by the next kid from the academy, so i only see him here as a squad player. he's our 7th choice prop now (after lima, coley, stu, mossop, preccy, hock) and with only coley leaving next season, he will still only be 6th choice.
seems like a nice guy, and a good squad plater, but tbh at his age he may be better suited looking for regular rugby elsewhere.

Talking of size he does seem to have put some weight on which may be no bad thing. He could do with some of Tom Burgess's size though...........monster.'"
I thought Tom Burgess just looked fat and unfit last night. He waddled off the pitch at half time.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go

He has looked class as a young player and still made the hard yards last night.
Just wait till he joins his brothers at souths. They will get him fit and raring to go and he will be a top player like Sam.
Madge has a job on his hands when he goes to souths but he certainly has the players to do it, flippin hek!

| I thought he did very well and is the sort of player you need in your squad, this season we've seen that you NEED at least 6 props because they will get injured, it's good to have him back and I've give him another year, if he can stay fit then I'd extend that.

| I must admit I agree with most of what short says, other than O'Carolls size being a problem. he made his debut at 17, and since then he has had his size questioned. He has had 70+ 1st team games, played at international level, all his unfortunate injuries have occured during training sessions, he has gone head to head with all the front rowers, and to say a good big one will always do a good small one is gnorant, remember the Morley incident. I am aware this was a clash of heads, however, what it does illustrate is, he has agility, strength, and skill, all necessary qualities that make a good prop, if his size was a problem, surely by now it would have been discovered, Millward, Noble and now Maguire? I would like him to have 3 more inches in height, but I think that is what makes him the player he is, strong, comitted and skillful. On his conditioning, well apart from the benefit of the weight gain, fitness wise he was blowing, but that I feel is simply because of the amount of work he did when he got the ball. Again I agree with the pecking order, but dont forget, we need 4 props per game, or so, and then to rest 2 and have flexibility with resting players, or when there is a drop in performance, or injury is invaluable, and the game against Bradford is a fine example of that, strength in all sections, O'Carolls size doesn't match some props, but it certainly is not a disadvantage, or hasn't been upto now, this next signing he gets will prove his worth, I may end up with mud on my face, however I dont think will, Yeah I do rate O'Caroll and enjoy his style of play, I am gald lke many he has revovered, and slotted in where he left off, in the thick of it. Maguire is a genious, if he has faith in people like O'Caroll, then lets believe. COME ON WIGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For reference, Wigan is like the Roman Empire. Warrington is like the pillow fort I built in my bedroom when I was 9. Ok, 26...

Top class players in that Samoa side. I hope we see some quality team sheets in 2013. Just a shame players like Hayne won't play for Fiji. It would make the comp so much better.
